Josefina had been with Reid Inc. for what felt like forever, so on her last day, she suggested they swing by Reid's office for a quick visit.
As they approached, Josefina noticed someone stepping out of Reid's office.
"Boss, I’ve cleaned up your office," the woman said.
"Why'd you clean it? I told Dier to handle that. What are you doing here?" Reid asked, puzzled.
"Dier was swamped, and I had some free time, so I took over," she explained.
"Alright, you can go now."
After she left, Reid ushered Josefina into his office.
"Little sis, what can I get you to drink? I’ve got a bunch of sodas and stuff in the fridge," Reid offered, opening the fridge door.
"Just water for me, Reid," Josefina replied, glancing around and wandering through the office.
Reid was about to ask her something when Josefina put a finger to her lips, signaling him to be quiet.
Curious, Reid watched as she pulled something from her bag and began moving around the office, eventually stopping by the bookshelf. She reached in and pulled out a listening device.
Reid’s eyes widened in shock. "How did this get into my office?"
"Reid, someone’s been eavesdropping on your conversations this past week. I’d suggest changing your locks," Josefina said, placing the device on the desk.
A chill ran down Reid's spine. He was stunned. "Josie, how did you find this?"
Josefina handed him another gadget. "Take this with you wherever you go. It’ll let you know if there are any bugs or cameras around."
"Thanks, sis," Reid said, gratefully accepting it.
"No problem. I'll get someone to change your locks and doors. They’ll show you how to use everything properly. And from now on, either don’t let anyone in to clean, or if you must, stay in the office with them."
