Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 754

The kidnapper was clearly losing his patience. "Hey, dude, zip it, will ya? I really don't get what Fiona sees in you."

"Come on, it's gotta be his looks. The guy's tall, looks pretty buff; Fiona’s totally into that type, hahaha."

Their crude jokes kept flying as they occasionally cast glances at Oliver.

Oliver frowned and tried to use his phone, but one of the kidnappers snatched it away.

"Almost forgot to grab your phone. Planning on calling the cops, huh? Try anything funny, and I swear it won't end well for you!"

As the car sped down the highway, Oliver spoke calmly, "Take a look at my phone's wallpaper. Is this the Fiona you're talking about?"

With nothing better to do, the kidnapper checked Oliver's phone.

The screen lit up, and the kidnapper said, "Who else would it be? Wait, you didn’t know she goes by Fiona?"

Oliver stayed silent; he hadn't realized Josefina and Fiona were the same person. Josie's secret was out again.

...

Josefina was biking when her phone rang. She pulled over to check it.

A video call from Oliver?

As Josefina answered, a face she didn't recognize popped up.

"Fiona, long time no see."

Josefina was taken aback. "The Bull, is that you?"

The man on the screen was indeed a tough-looking, muscular guy, aptly nicknamed The Bull.

The Bull, clearly annoyed, said, "We’ve got your man. If you don’t want him dead, you better get over here quick. Head to the abandoned villa complex in the west suburbs. We'll be waiting. Try calling the cops, and he's done for!"

Josefina insisted, "Show me you've really got him."

The Bull sneered, "What’s it to you, mister pretty boy?"

Oliver continued nonchalantly, "If she's really messed up, I should probably bail before I get caught up in it. So, what’s she done?"

The Bull was more than willing to vent.

"Dude, how'd you get tricked by that she-devil Fiona? Why'd you even get into this line of work?"

Oliver: "..."

Was his life really that pitiful?

And The Bull kept going, "How does that she-devil treat you? You don’t look tough enough for her kind of rough. Listen, money’s important, but your life’s worth more. Without your life, what’s the point of all the money in the world?"

Oliver: "..."
