Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 753

Oliver was dead serious when he said, "If they come after Josie again, I won't let them off easy! Even if Rowan is your son, I won't hesitate."

Brandon sighed, knowing that Oliver sparing Rowan's life was already a big deal. "I'll talk to Rowan. Oliver, you need to calm down. Don't go overboard. If the Harrisons find out you killed your own father, would they still think you're the right guy for Josie?"

Oliver stayed quiet. Brandon had hit a nerve.

"Oliver, any parent wants their daughter to marry someone stable. They know our family's issues. As long as we don't make a scene, I believe Hattie and Garrett won't stand in the way too much, right?"

"Grandpa, are you threatening me now?" Oliver asked coolly.

"Oliver, it's not a threat, just a reminder. I'm too old to do much. I just want you and Josie to be together, to get married and start a family."

Oliver didn't answer. The idea of marriage was a sore spot for him. Josie wasn't interested in getting married, and Calix was always causing trouble.

If the Baldwin family drama turned deadly, he was even more worried that the Harrisons would refuse to let him be with Josie. Feeling stuck, Oliver could only sigh.

"Don't worry, Oliver. I'd never hurt you. I've watched you grow up, and you're my only heir. If I don't protect you, who will?"

"You could protect your son."

Brandon was left speechless. "Alright, I'm heading out. Think it over."

Brandon sighed again, worried that Oliver might actually end up harming his father. Last time, it was his intervention that kept the news of Oliver's attempted patricide under wraps. Given another chance, Oliver would probably not hesitate to kill Rowan.

Once in the car, Oliver scanned the area, looking for a way to escape. Suddenly, one of the kidnappers' phones rang. He answered, "We've got Fiona's guy. Tell her to hurry if she doesn't want this Joe to end up dead."

"Alright, Dorian, I'll reach out to Fiona right away. After all these years, we finally got her! It wasn't easy!"

Oliver was baffled. Fiona? He didn't know anyone by that name.

"Fiona? Who's that? You've got the wrong guy. I don't know any Fiona," Oliver insisted.

"Joe, you think playing dumb will save you? Wise up and cooperate, or it's curtains for you!"

Oliver, keeping a straight face, said, "Who's Fiona? Do you have a picture of her? Show me, so I can tell you if you've got the wrong guy."
