The caller was Annika, her voice low as she said, “Ms. Josefina, the second eldest and Calix are both at home, waiting for you. The second eldest brought back a robot, and it’s meant for you.” Josefina glanced at the clock; it was 7:30 PM. “Alright, I’ll be home soon.”
After hanging up, Josefina knew her brothers wouldn’t interrupt her unless it was important. Annika’s call was per Josefina’s instructions to be informed immediately about any matters.
“Oliver, after dinner, I gotta head back. My brothers are waiting, and I can’t keep them waiting too long.” Oliver put down his silverware, giving Josefina a look that made her feel like she was ditching him.
“I’ll have dinner with you again tomorrow,” Josefina said with a smile. Oliver nodded, not wanting to make things awkward for her.
“Josie, your brothers really need to find themselves some partners.” Josefina raised an eyebrow, “What do you mean?”
“If they had girlfriends, would they really have so much time to crash our dates?” Josefina just sighed, thinking Oliver had a point.
“Dorian isn’t interested in dating right now, Reid is all about his tech projects, and as for Calix, despite being a big shot in entertainment, I haven’t heard a peep about him seeing anyone.” Basically, her brothers were single and seemingly uninterested in changing that.
Oliver listened to Josefina’s breakdown, momentarily wishing he could play matchmaker for them. Josefina chuckled, “You just found your match; my brothers might take a bit longer. But hey, love works in mysterious ways.”
Who knows, maybe their soulmates were just around the corner?
Josefina rode her motorcycle back home, taking the elevator to the first-floor living room. As she stepped out, a voice greeted her, “Welcome home, my princess.” Josefina paused, a bit taken aback.
Not long after, Dorian walked in with a large bouquet of flowers. “These are for you, sis.”
“Thanks, Dorian,” Josefina said, the fragrance filling the room with cheer.
“Mom and Dad are at a party and will be back late,” Dorian mentioned.
The four of them settled down, and Josefina shared some news. “Dorian, Reid, Calix, I’ve designed some clothes for you. They’ll be delivered tomorrow. Reid and Calix’s will come to the house, and Dorian’s to your office. If there’s anything off, let me know, and I’ll tweak them.”
Josefina’s announcement left the three brothers both surprised and thrilled.
