Dorian: "Josie, you’ve really outdone yourself."
Reid: "Sis, thanks a million for designing these clothes. I must be the luckiest brother in the world!"
Calix: "Sis, you're the best! Thanks a ton!"
As soon as the brothers finished their heartfelt thanks, Josefina's phone buzzed with notifications.
Venmo received $500,000.
Venmo received $500,000.
Venmo received $500,000.
The brothers had coordinated perfectly, each sending Josefina the same generous amount.
They exchanged knowing glances, silently acknowledging the friendly competition.
Not one to be outdone, Calix quickly sent another $500,000.
The others weren't about to back down either, each trying to outdo the other in showering Josefina with gifts.
Josefina: "..."
Her brothers' competitive nature sure was something.
"Dorian, Reid, Calix, you really don’t need to keep sending me money. I make you clothes, you send me money; at this rate, I might just stop making them."
Hearing this, the brothers sheepishly tucked their phones away, grinning at their cherished sister.
Calix chimed in, "Sis, I'm heading to Westwood to shoot a movie soon. Could you come by the set?"
Dorian: "Sis, there's an end-of-year meeting coming up. You should drop by."
Reid: "And the day after that, our robot project wraps up. How about stopping by for some feedback?"
Calix, feeling a little overwhelmed, said, "Dorian, Reid, aren't you piling too much on her?"
Reid and Dorian gave Calix a look sharp enough to cut steel.
Calix: "..."
He was the one who invited her first!
Dorian and Reid were just copying him!
She picked up, and Robot No. 1 peeked over curiously.
Oliver's expression darkened seeing Josefina with the robot behind her.
"Who's that?"
Josefina turned, "It's a robot Reid gave me."
Oliver: "..."
Firmly, Oliver declared, "Get rid of it! It has no business being in your room."
Josefina couldn't help but chuckle, "Oliver, it's just a robot, not a real guy. Are you seriously jealous of a robot?"
"Josie, it’s a male robot, and I don’t want it anywhere near your room. Reid really dropped the ball on this, no wonder he’s not top dog."
Josefina: "..."
Oliver sure had a sharp tongue.
"Oliver, it’s just a robot. It doesn’t understand anything. If you keep badmouthing my Reid, I’ll hang up." She wasn’t about to let Oliver trash-talk her Reid.
