Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 765

Oliver's words left Hattie and Garrett feeling awkward and shifting in their seats.

Garrett, clearly flustered, tried to explain, "Oliver, don't take it the wrong way. I really do have faith in you. It's just..."

He stumbled over his words before managing to continue, "It's just that, what if things don't go well with Josie? You know she's my only daughter, my pride and joy."

"Uncle, you can rest easy. Josie means the world to me, more than anything. I truly love her," Oliver reassured them.

Hattie piped up, "I noticed Josie seemed a bit off this morning at breakfast. What's going on?"

Oliver was on the verge of confessing everything, worried that Hattie and Garrett might catch on to his secret visits to the Harrison's.

If they found out, would he still be able to sneak over to see Josie?

So instead, he told them, "Uncle, Aunt, I was hoping to marry Josie sooner rather than later, and she didn’t take it well. She's upset with me."

Garrett and Hattie exchanged a look. Was that really the reason?

Garrett said, "Josie has a point. She's still young, and there's no rush to tie the knot. Oliver, you shouldn't be pushing her into this."

Hattie added, "Josie's young, and it's good she's not rushing into marriage. Oliver, take your time. Get to know each other better."

"I'll talk it over with Josie again, and I won't do anything to upset her," Oliver promised.

Garrett and Hattie nodded, sharing a few more words of wisdom before Oliver took his leave.

...

Oliver settled into his car, the soft music playing as Josefina leaned back with her eyes closed.

He handed Josefina a bottle of milk, "Annika asked me to give this to you."

Josefina took it without saying a word, still clearly miffed.

Seeing her sulky demeanor, Oliver couldn't help but grin, "Josie, I'm sorry."

Josefina shot him a look, "What exactly are you sorry for?"

"I shouldn't have taken the robot, and I shouldn't have messed with Reid's hard work."

Josefina glared at him, "Oliver, even if robots aren't your thing, you should've thought about Reid. It was his project, not mine. You really hurt him."

Reid was in the midst of a conversation about Robot One with his colleagues, who were all singing his praises.

"Boss, you're incredible. Robot One's been restored perfectly."

"I just tested Robot One with water, and its waterproofing is even better now."

"Boss, we're definitely going to beat Albert this time!"

"Our chance to turn things around is here!"

Reid was taken aback, listening to their compliments as if it were all a dream.

"Seriously? That's amazing."

Reid knew Josefina had worked on Robot One, but he hadn't seen her do it and was clueless about how she managed the repairs.

Once Robot One was back at the company, his colleagues noticed the remarkable improvements.

"Boss, you’re not going to admit it? Come on, spill the beans. Where did you pick up those skills?"
