Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 772

Rowan was fuming, feeling the sting of defeat as Josefina somehow managed to swipe his weapon right from under his nose. There was no avoiding it; Josefina had an uncanny knack for knowing exactly how to push his buttons and get him riled up.

Brandishing the weapon with a cocky defiance, Josefina taunted, “Mr. Oliver, your weapon’s now with me. It’s my turn to ask the questions, and if you don’t answer, I might just have to pull the trigger.”

Without giving Rowan a chance to respond, she pressed on, “How’d you find out about The Moon? Who let it slip?”

Rowan stayed silent, but Josefina wasn’t backing down. She flicked a silver dart into the back of his hand, making him wince from the sharp sting.

“See, this little dart could easily find its way to your heart. Speak up, or I might just end your troubles right here and now,” Josefina threatened.

“You wouldn’t dare!” Rowan shot back.

Josefina raised an eyebrow, “Wanna bet?”

Holding a gun in one hand and the silver dart in the other, she watched Rowan, waiting for his next move. Eventually, Rowan caved.

Before he could spill the beans, Josefina interjected, “It was Sydney who told you, right?”

The look of shock on Rowan’s face was all the confirmation she needed.

Just as she suspected.

“So, Sydney threw you under the bus, made you the fall guy, and you're just okay with that?”

“Josefina, enough with the games. Where’s The Moon?” Rowan demanded.

A sly smile crossed Josefina’s face, “Who said I was going to tell you?”

“Josefina!” Rowan roared in frustration.

“Sydney’s using you as a pawn. Can’t you see that?” she challenged.

His eyes blazing with anger, Rowan glared at Josefina, “Enough of your nonsense. Hand over The Moon, or I swear, I will kill you!”

“Before you even try, I’ll have taken you down. Why always resort to violence? Can’t we just sit down and talk it out? Or is it that your ‘logic’ doesn’t hold water?” Josefina retorted.

Rowan was left speechless.

Josefina’s sharp tongue had taught him a hard lesson. A woman like her marrying into the Baldwin family would certainly shake things up.

Rowan made up his mind; he would do everything he could to stop Oliver from marrying Josefina. He was adamant about it.

“Josefina, I’m going to kill you!” he yelled, grabbing a chair and charging at her, undeterred by the gun she held.
