Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 792

Finley was fuming, his pride bruised, and he lashed out in retaliation. The clash between them was intense, neither willing to back down. Before long, Luke's lip was split, and Finley's face was swollen, neither gaining the upper hand.

"Finley, stay away from Livia, or I swear, I'll take you down every time I see you!" Luke warned.

Finley shot back, "You got a thing for Livia?"

"Yeah, I like her," Luke admitted without hesitation.

Finley paused, taken aback by the possibility. "Livia's not into you," Finley blurted out, unsure why he felt compelled to say it, a tightness settling in his chest.

"What's it to you if she likes me or not? She isn't exactly fond of you either, is she? Just because Livia doesn't like me now doesn't mean she'll never change her mind. But you? Livia will never like you in a million years."

A tremor ran through Finley's heart, and he launched at Luke again, trying to release the pent-up frustration he felt. In the end, both were left battered and bruised.

Later, Shay called Finley, eager to know how his meeting with Livia went. Finley’s voice was heavy, "Livia denied Josefina hurt you, Shea. Are you sure it was Josefina?"

Shay was taken aback, not expecting Finley to question her story. "Finley, why would I lie to you? Josefina hurt me, left me dangling out a hospital window. I nearly fell because of her. How could I forget that?"

"Shea, it's not that I don't believe you, but Livia sounded so sure it wasn't Josefina."

"Finley, I know you and Livia are close, but I'm not lying."
