Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 791

When Finley showed up at Livia's door, she couldn't help but laugh at his audacity.

Opening the door, she stood there with a cool, unbothered demeanor. "Finley, back for more trouble? What's your deal? If you're feeling unwell, see a doctor instead of coming here looking for a fight."

Finley lingered at the threshold, his voice barely above a whisper, "Josie’s the reason Shea can’t stand anymore. She was defending you, Livia. This mess is all on me. If you're mad, take it out on me, just leave Shea out of it."

Livia rolled her eyes, "So if she blames Josie, that’s the gospel truth? You trust her that much? What are you, a psychic?"

"Shea's as honest as they come; she wouldn't lie. I'll do whatever it takes if you'll just help her."

"Anything? Would you die if I asked?" Livia raised an eyebrow, a teasing grin playing on her lips.

"Livia, if stabbing me a few times would make you happy, go for it. My only worry would be who'd look after Shea if I’m gone."

Livia laughed, sizing Finley up. "Tempting as that is, I'm not about to get arrested over you. As for Shea’s leg, Josie didn’t do it. If you’re so sure she did, why not confront Oliver? Or Josie herself? You think spilling all this to me will make me beg Josie? If she's innocent, what's the point?"

Livia decided it was time to move. Staying here just gave Finley too many chances to show up unannounced.

"Are we done here? Good. Now scram, I don’t want to see you," Livia said, shutting the door in his face.

She grabbed her phone to text Luke for help with moving out the next day.

Since she owned the place, Finley could easily track her. Moving into someone else's place would make it tougher for him to find her.

Luke quickly replied to her message, "Did that jerk Finley come back again?"

"Luke, I just need a change of scenery. Can you help me find a new place? Thanks."

Livia avoided mentioning Finley, and Luke wisely didn't push the topic.
