Josefina played it cool, reassuring, "Relax, we're all good. This is a fantastic chance for some top-notch publicity for us."
The manager was completely baffled.
What on earth was the boss talking about?
Josefina elaborated, "I'll have the general manager send over some outfits. We've just launched a fresh collection, and what better time to showcase it than now?"
The manager still looked puzzled.
"Ms. Josefina, I'm totally lost. What exactly do you mean?" What's the deal here?
Josefina replied, "You don't need to get it right now. Just follow my lead, and once things unfold, it'll all make sense."
The manager remained confused.
...
After leaving Josefina's store, Kate drove over to see Marina. They met up at Kate's place.
Kate walked in, venting her frustrations.
"Sis, you hit the nail on the head about Josefina being trouble. That girl has a sharp wit and isn’t easy to handle."
Marina sipped her coffee, her face like stone, "I can't believe she went to see the old man. I heard she's got some medical skills. If she helps him recover, how am I supposed to snag the Rowland family's fortune?"
Kate settled in, grumbling, "Sis, seeing as she's Anya's designer, did you really think she'd be a pushover? What if we can't handle her and just end up in a bigger mess?"
"Sweetheart, don’t sweat it. You just went to her for some fashion advice. If you're unhappy with her work, aren't we allowed to express our dissatisfaction? Once we tarnish her rep, she won't have time to worry about treating the old man."
Kate nodded, getting Marina's drift.
