Marina clung to Darrick's arm, giving him a look that spoke volumes.
Darrick softened his tone, pleading, "Dad, we're family, after all."
Marina wiped away a couple of tears, "I never meant to tear this family apart. I just wanted to be part of it."
Sandy scoffed, "Join a family with a married man? Were you born without any sense of decency?"
Marina bit her lip, still looking hurt and innocent.
Darrick, feeling protective, held her hand and said coldly, "We're in love, Sandy. There's nothing left between us. Why hold onto something that's gone? I'll divorce you, you leave, and we'll start our own family."
Hunter, boiling with rage, interrupted, "Enough with the excuses! I didn't call you here to talk about shares. I'm here to tell you you're out of the family, Darrick!"
Hunter ordered, "Get them out."
The security team nodded, and two guards dragged them out by the arms.
As they were forced out, their anger flared. They tried to get back in, but the door was shut tight, and the codes were changed.
No matter how hard Darrick knocked, there was no answer.
When they got back home, they found the locks changed and a man waiting for them.
"Hunter made it clear. You're off the family tree, and anything related to the Rowland estate is being reclaimed."
Marina dropped her act, her voice sharp, "This is my home! You're trespassing, and I'll sue!"
"The fact is, Ms. Sandy is still legally married to Mr. Darrick. Every penny you've spent is part of their marital assets. Ms. Sandy's lawyer has records. Get ready to pay it back."
