Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 836

Josefina nodded, agreeing, "Hunter's got a point there."

"I've seen Peter and Caiden grow up. They're good kids, with solid characters and decent skills," Hunter continued.

Josefina just sighed internally. She was here for Hunter's check-up, not to be matched up with anyone.

"Hunter, I already have a boyfriend," she clarified.

Hunter looked surprised, "Already? That was fast."

But then again, it made sense. A girl as remarkable as Josefina wouldn't be lacking in admirers.

Still holding onto hope, Hunter asked softly, "Who's the lucky guy? Do I know him? Good, upstanding young men are pretty rare in Westwood. From other families, though, Oliver from the Baldwins is quite impressive. Talented and good-looking."

Josefina chuckled, "Well, my boyfriend is Oliver."

"What!" Hunter was stunned.

He had hoped it would be someone else, giving his grandson a chance. But if it was Oliver, their family didn't stand a chance.

"Oliver's a great guy, and he's got excellent taste," Hunter laughed, trying to lighten the mood.

Josefina just smiled, not saying much as the room filled with an awkward quiet.

"Hunter, you're still in recovery. Let me know if there's anything you need. I've got to head out now," she said.

Hunter offered to walk her out, but Josefina politely declined and left.

With a sigh, Hunter settled back into his chair. "I guess our family's just not that lucky," he muttered to himself, feeling a bit down.

Caiden walked in, grinning, "Grandpa, what luck were we missing out on?"

"Not having Josie as a granddaughter-in-law, what else?" Hunter replied.

Caiden just nodded, thinking of Josefina being with Oliver, and kept his thoughts to himself.
