Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 838

Helmets on, Josefina revved up her bike and took Calix for his first thrilling ride with her. They looped around the block and pulled up to the house, spotting Dorian and Reid waiting for them.

Josefina hit the brakes, and Calix, grinning ear to ear, yanked off his helmet. "Hey, Dorian, Reid! Just got back with my sister. Check out the motorcycle I got her. Cool, huh? She loves it!"

Calix was practically bursting with pride, like a dog wagging its tail.

Reid piped up, "Hey sis, I've never been on a motorcycle before. Mind taking me for a spin?"

"Sure thing," Josefina replied, her smile warm and welcoming.

Calix was taken aback. "Really?"

He couldn't believe Reid had the guts to ask. Josefina turned to Calix, her eyes sparkling in a way that made it impossible to refuse. "Calix, why don't you take a breather? I'll take Reid for a quick ride, okay?"

With a sigh, Calix stepped aside, and Reid hopped on eagerly. "Let's go, sis."

Josefina took off with Reid, leaving Dorian and Calix behind. "Can you believe Reid? Doesn't he worry about wearing out our sister?" Calix grumbled.

"Why didn't you say something earlier?" Dorian asked.

"I didn’t want to put her in an awkward spot," Calix admitted.

Dorian just shook his head, amused by Calix's cunning.

Before long, Josefina and Reid returned. "Dorian, want a ride? I can take you," Josefina offered.

Dorian's usually serious face softened with a gentle smile. "No thanks, sis. I don't want you getting too tired. You, Reid, and Calix should know better than to have you out this late. It's not safe."

Calix and Reid exchanged bewildered looks. Dorian was a pro at playing it cool!

She logged onto her chat app and saw a message from Grant. "Rosa, we’re planning to visit you soon. My foster dad wants to see the big city. Can't stay on the island forever."

Thrilled, Josefina typed back, "You and the master are welcome anytime in Westwood. I'll have a room ready for you."

"Rosa, is Oliver treating you right? If not, don’t settle," Grant's message was filled with concern.

"Don’t worry about me. I'm good, and Oliver's been nothing but great," Josefina replied, hoping to put Grant's mind at ease.

Grant wasn't quite convinced but replied, "Glad to hear he's treating you well. See you soon, Rosa."

Josefina sent a quick acknowledgment, not wanting to drag on the conversation.

Just then, she heard a noise from the window. She knew Oliver had climbed in again.
