Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 854

She just couldn't understand it—how did Josefina manage to have such an extensive network of connections?

"Shay, let's head back and see what Jane is planning. Didn't she mention something about reaching out to Cash's mentor? We might be able to pick up some intel on the way."

Shay nodded in agreement, and the two of them made their way out.

...

At the banquet hall, Cash took the initiative to greet Josefina's family.

Introducing himself, Cash said, "I'm Josie's senior from our training days."

The Harrisons had suspected there was a connection between the two, but they hadn't expected Cash to be Josefina's senior.

Josefina clarified, "I was the last apprentice our mentor took in, so everyone who came before me is like an older brother or sister."

In their circle, Josefina was the apple of everyone's eye. Being the youngest, she was doted on by all, a sentiment that held strong even now.

Oliver, standing off to the side, finally understood why Cash hadn't acknowledged him. To them, he was like the bad guy who had taken Josefina away, and they weren't exactly thrilled to welcome him. With that realization, Oliver felt a little better.

Cash still didn't acknowledge Oliver directly; instead, he turned to Garrett and said, "I heard Josie found her birth parents. She mentioned that her family treats her well, which is a relief to us."

"It was a surprise to us too, discovering our child had gone through so much hardship. We're grateful you were there for her; thank you," Garrett replied sincerely.

Hattie whispered to Josefina, "Josie, is your senior staying over tomorrow? If so, let's invite him for dinner. I'd like to thank him properly."

"Mom, my senior isn't leaving tomorrow. He's still here in Westwood."

Cash chuckled and said, "Just call me Cash."
