Oliver flashed a grin. “The girlfriend I’m talking about is her.”

Alfie raised an eyebrow, “Josie, he’s your boyfriend? I didn’t even get a chance to introduce you two, and you’re already hitting it off?”

Oliver chuckled, “That’s fate for you.”

Josefina gave a cheeky smile, “Master mentioned you weren’t too keen on us dating.”

“If I’d known it was you, I would’ve agreed in a heartbeat,” Oliver said, reaching out to gently take Josefina’s hand in his.

Sitting across from them, Alfie watched the couple. They looked like a perfect match, both in looks and spirit, and he couldn’t help but be a bit surprised. Still, he offered his well-wishes.

“Josie, I’m all for you two dating. But this guy,” he nodded toward Oliver, “has more secrets and identities than you’d think. Make sure you know what you’re getting into.”

Josefina gave Oliver a knowing look, “You’ve been keeping secrets from me?”

Oliver was momentarily speechless. Was Alfie here to stir the pot?

“Josie, I haven’t kept anything from you. As for the rest, I’ll tell you later; it’s all trivial stuff,” Oliver whispered.

Alfie chuckled, determined not to let his favorite pupil get short-changed.

“Josie, I heard from Cash that the Black Widow has arrived in Westwood? She’s after you?”

“She’s tied to Sydney and I hear she’s even Shay’s mentor. They’re all in cahoots, definitely out to get me. But don’t worry, Master, I’ve got it handled.”

“These small fries? I’ll take care of them.”

Josefina smirked, “Master, I’ve already made my move. No need to stress over people like that.”

Alfie laughed heartily, “That’s my girl.”

Turning serious, he said, “Oliver, make sure Josie’s safe. Sydney, being your stepmom and all, if she’s after Josie, it’s probably because of you.”

“Walter, I get it. Josie’s doing this for me. I’ll take good care of her, promise.”
