Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 865

Alfie was in a fantastic mood, grinning from ear to ear as he enjoyed his meal. "Josie, guess what? Jane came knocking, asking for a detox. I turned her down. Folks like her need a little taste of their own medicine."

Josefina raised an eyebrow, curious. "So, Master, are you still thinking about detoxing Jane?"

Alfie leaned back, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips. "I owe her one, and she's holding it over my head like a threat."

Josefina couldn't help but chuckle. "Master, we could help her detox. She didn't say we couldn't slip a little something back in afterward, did she?"

Alfie erupted in laughter. "That's why you're my top student."

He looked at Josefina with pride, his eyes brimming with warmth. Sitting next to her, Oliver caught the fond look Alfie gave Josefina and couldn't hide his own proud grin.

Before they could dig into their food, Cash burst in. "Master, why's it just you and Josie having dinner? Where's my invite?"

Alfie shrugged. "You found your way here just fine, didn't you?"

Cash plopped down next to Alfie, looking both exasperated and a bit sulky. "Master, you're working me to the bone. This leadership gig? Anyone else can have it. I'm ready to throw in the towel."

Alfie gave him a sideways glance. "I've been doing it forever without a hitch. What makes you so different?"

Cash shot back with a cheeky grin, "Because you're my Master, and I'm just your humble disciple."

Alfie sighed. Cash was definitely pushing his buttons today! "Josie, back me up here. I handed the House of Adams to him, and he's acting all ungrateful."

Josefina giggled. "Come on, big brother, the Master trusts you. You can't let him down."

Cash threw up his hands. "Master, with you putting it that way in front of Josie, how can I say no?"

And so, Cash braced himself for more sleepless nights. Despite Cash's grumbling, the dinner left everyone else in high spirits.

Oliver handed business cards to Cash and Alfie. "Walter, Cash, if you guys need anything, just give this number a call. He'll sort things out."

The card had a stranger's name on it, not Oliver's. Cash accepted it with a nod. "Thanks, Oliver."

Oliver smiled. "No worries. You're Josie's Master and brother, so that makes you my friends too."

Alfie and Cash felt a warm glow toward Oliver, not because of the cards, but because they saw how much he genuinely cared for Josefina and extended that kindness to those she held dear.
