"Hey there, Master! School's out and dinner's on me tonight," Josefina chirped.

Alfie grinned from ear to ear. "Well, look at you, my little apprentice all grown up and treating the old man to a meal."

"Master, I've got more than enough cash now. Taking care of you is a breeze. You helped me grow up, so it's only fair I return the favor in your golden years!"

The more Alfie listened, the broader his smile became. "You've always had a silver tongue. Oliver's already invited me for dinner tonight. Why not tag along?"

Josefina hadn't expected him to act that fast. No wonder he hadn’t asked her out today; he had plans with the Master.

"Sure thing, Master. I'll meet you there."

Just as she hung up, her phone buzzed with a call from Oliver.

"Josie, hop in. I'm parked to your left."

She spun around, spotted his car approaching, and quickly made her way over, jumping inside.

"So, you invited my Master to dinner, huh?"

As Oliver clicked her seatbelt into place, he handed her a milkshake. "I figured you'd be dining with him anyway, and if you were busy with Master, you couldn't hang out with me. So, why not make it a trio?"

It was a clever move on Oliver's part, hoping to sneak in some time with Josefina after the meal. Oblivious to his plans, Josefina chatted and laughed with him all the way to the restaurant.

When they got there, Josefina noticed Jane and Alfie in a heated discussion from afar. She hurried over.

"Master, is she bothering you? Step aside, let me handle this!"

Josefina, fired up, planted herself in front of Alfie, shooting daggers at Jane with her eyes.

Jane was stunned. Josefina really was Alfie's protégé! No wonder she knew Cash and could tweak the game rules.

"Josefina, so you are Alfie's disciple! You're behind the poison!"
