"Living the dream, huh? Guess it's time to pack up and move yet again," Livia sighed, feeling the weight of her frustrations.
Josefina shook her head, "Moving won't fix the real problem. No matter where you go, Finley's going to track you down."
Livia slouched back in her chair, her anger simmering just beneath the surface. "I'll ring up Oliver, see if he can talk some sense into Finley."
Josefina got up and stepped aside to make the call. Oliver picked up almost immediately, his voice bright and upbeat, "Josie! Finally decided to call me, huh? Just landed, and here you are on the line—what timing!"
Skipping the small talk, Josefina went straight to the heart of the matter, "Oliver, didn't you have a word with Finley last time about staying away from Livia? He popped up again today. What's he planning, to haunt her forever?"
Oliver paused, sounding a bit deflated, "I thought I was being helpful, but it looks like it didn't make a difference."
"I'll try talking to him again, but Josie, you know, these matters of the heart... I'm just an outsider."
Josefina, sitting comfortably on the patio, replied, "I get that, but please, give it another shot with Finley."
"Alright, I'll give him a call soon."
Josefina nodded, "I'm off to grab some lunch."

Sydney had been cooped up in her house for a whole week, each day dragging by with restless nights and uneasy days. More than anything, it was the calls to Shay that unsettled her—every time, she'd hear a voice on the other end insisting everything was just fine. But Sydney wasn't convinced.
Reaching out to the outside world felt impossible, thanks to the signal jammers installed all over the mansion, keeping her completely cut off.
Desperate, Sydney called over one of the maids. The maid approached with her head bowed, as Sydney, wearing a warm smile, slipped off her bracelet and offered it to her.
Sydney fumed, "Fool! Spineless fool! Passing up a chance to earn some money—you deserve to stay broke."
She paced back and forth, anxiety gnawing at her insides. The more she thought about it, the more worried she became about Shay's safety. How on earth could she get a message out?
Then she remembered Dominic. He wasn’t stuck in this place like she was; he could see Shay and make sure she was alright. Just thinking about it calmed Sydney down a bit.
...
As for Dominic, Sydney's words were long forgotten. Completely absorbed in his work, he was determined to make a mark, eager to prove his worth to Rowan and outshine Oliver.
As he left the company, a striking woman in red passed by, slipping a note into his hand.
