Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 938

Josefina was momentarily caught off guard, utterly incredulous.

“Josie, I wouldn’t lie to you. How could I ever let go of someone as amazing as you? I’m the sharpest businessman around,” Oliver said, leaning in closer, his face splitting into a broad grin. His laughter was contagious, echoing through the room.

“Oliver, cut it out,” Josefina said, feeling a bit embarrassed. Oliver seemed to be enjoying her predicament a little too much, and she felt like she was the butt of a private joke. She felt like slapping a hand to her forehead, utterly exasperated.

Still chuckling, Oliver said, “Josie, caring about your fiancé isn’t anything to be ashamed of. It’s a good thing. You should always care about me like that, alright?”

“Yeah, right!” she thought, rolling her eyes.

As he spoke, Oliver handed Josefina the photos he had received. Josefina was speechless. Wow, she thought, this person had the nerve to send Oliver pictures too.

“I was having lunch with Caiden. I didn’t mean to mislead you. I just didn’t want you to overthink it, so I kept it from you,” Josefina explained.

“Josie, I know your heart only has room for me, not a single person more. These people just want to drive a wedge between us. Josie, I don’t believe them. I only believe you.”

Josefina found herself lost for words once again. With the misunderstanding cleared up, Oliver couldn’t stop smiling.

Josefina then mentioned, “Rowan’s in the hospital.”

Oliver’s smile didn’t waver; he had truly removed Rowan from his world, treating him like a stranger. Seeing Oliver’s indifference, Josefina continued, “I suspect Sydney poisoned him, but I have no proof. Anyway, he’s planning to divorce Sydney and wants her to leave with nothing.”

“Whether they divorce or not, it has nothing to do with me. He’s my grandfather’s son, not mine,” Oliver said, his tone unchanged. Instead, he took Josefina’s hand and asked, “When will you marry me, huh?”

“I will definitely divorce her. Whether she’s to blame or not, I refuse to stay with her. I’ve already drawn up the divorce papers, just waiting for her signature.”

Brandon nodded in approval. “It’s good you’re thinking clearly. I’ll get the doctor to check on you. Bennett, make sure he gets something to eat.”

“Yes, sir.”

With that, they both set off to fulfill their tasks. Rowan lay back, a newfound clarity seeping in after the fog of his ordeal. Just then, the door opened softly. Sydney entered, carrying a lunchbox.

“Rowan, you’re finally awake,” she said.

Rowan’s expression hardened. “What are you doing here?”
