Mission: Revenge – The Heiress's Second Life novel Chapter 103

He laughed with absolute arrogance.

After years of being the worst student in his class, he finally had his moment of glory. How could he not soak it up?

Clara carefully flipped through the workbook. It covered every type of seventh-grade math problem. From now on, whenever he finished a section, she would give him random pop quizzes to reinforce his memory. He would have the concepts locked down soon enough. Becoming a top scholar was a stretch, but at least he wouldn't finish dead last on every exam.

"Not bad today," Clara praised him. "Looks like you might actually meet my expectations for the finals."

Jules puffed out his chest.

He used to think his only talent was gaming, but it turned out he wasn't half bad at academics either.

He had barely paid attention in math class, yet here he was solving equations. He was practically a genius!

Choosing not to crush his newfound enthusiasm, Clara asked, "Could you grab me a glass of water?"

Without thinking, Jules immediately poured a glass and handed it to her. It was only after Clara took it that he felt a twinge of annoyance.

He had flawlessly completed his homework. Shouldn't she be the one fetching him a drink? Why did he just obediently serve her?

Clara downed the water in one go, but no system notification rang in her head.

She had hoped to trigger a reward for some middle school English and Literature workbooks, but it seemed she miscalculated.

Maybe he had to genuinely want to pour her the water for it to trigger?

Clara mulled it over for a moment but couldn't figure it out.

She patted Jules on the shoulder and headed next door to Ethan's room.
