Chapter 241 Out of the Jungle
“Daddy, no hug.” Nina walked on her own. She wouldn’t let Benjamin carry her.
When Benjamin tried to pick her up again, Nina dodged his big hand and refused once more.
She looked up with her chubby little face and said seriously, “Daddy hurt.”
She believed that since Benjamin was injured, he couldn’t hold her. She was too heavy!
Nina refused to be carried. She toddled along on her short little legs, trying hard.
Benjamin could only take her little hand.
Nina’s plump little feet began to throb, but she didn’t tell Benjamin–she just kept going.
But Benjamin, who watched her constantly, noticed her discomfort right away.
Once he was sure Nina couldn’t walk another step, Benjamin ignored her protests. This time, he scooped her up tightly into his arms.
“Nina, don’t move. If you move, Daddy’s wound will hurt.”
Just as Nina started to squirm, Benjamin’s words made her go still instantly.
Nina didn’t dare move anymore. She sat obediently in Benjamin’s arms and stared at his wound.
She carefully avoided touching it. “Daddy, hurt?”
“It’s okay,” Benjamin said calmly. “If you’re good, Daddy won’t be hurt.”
Hearing that, Nina nodded her little head seriously. “Nina good.”
This time, Nina truly stopped fussing.
She sat quietly and just kept talking to Benjamin nonstop.
She told him Amelia spanked her.
She said she didn’t want to go to school anymore.
Benjamin listened to all of Nina’s chatter.
He responded now and then, chatting with her gently.

Chapter 241 Out of the Jungle
Nina had found Benjamin in the jungle and now searched for Chloe.
She naturally skipped daycare today.
She didn’t go. But Jerry did.
Finished
Jerry got terrified yesterday. He cried to his parents that Nina had been killed by the teacher. The other kids believed him and said the same.
Teachers and parents explained for a long time. They barely convinced the children that the teacher hadn’t killed Nina.
Nina had just gone home.
The kids seemed comforted. But the next day in class, without Nina there, Jerry led the wail again.
“You liar! Nina got killed! Nina no come! Nina gone.”
The daycare dissolved into cries once more. The little girl who gave Nina candy cried especially hard.
She pulled several candies from her pocket and sobbed, “For Nina! Nina killed. I miss Nina so much!”
The children cried like this. All the teachers jumped in to soothe them.
Their heads spun from the effort. The kids still cried on and off.
Finally, even the director couldn’t take it. He tried contacting the Graham family to ask when Nina could return.
He called Nina’s parents‘ numbers one by one. None connected.
The director had no more ideas.
The chaos at the daycare meant nothing to Nina in the jungle.
Nina dozed off again in Benjamin’s arms.
Before falling asleep, she sneezed. After sleeping, she coughed twice.
Benjamin heard her cough. His brows furrowed. He held her against his chest, wrapped her in his jacket, and quickened his pace.
Before drifting off, Nina had pointed the way for Benjamin.

So Benjamin knew which direction to go.
After hurrying a while longer, Benjamin really spotted Chloc.
Chloe’s condition looked dire. She clung to life by a thread.

Benjamin reached her side first. He pulled out his last flare and fired it, sending the signal.
Then he set Nina aside and
gave Chloe
emergency aid.
Benjamin’s flare worked.
Daniel’s group, searching for Nina, saw it and immediately had a target.
