Ms. Escape Marrying to Run Fighting to Rise novel Chapter 386

Chapter 386 1 Changed My Mind

Adriana didn’t say a word. Her face looked strained.

Savannah smiled in satisfaction and spoke again. “No rush, Adriana. I’ll wait for your answer. In the meantime, you might want to take Denton to the hospital for a checkup.”

With that, Savannah left, looking smug.

Adriana watched her go, then glanced down at the HIV test result and let out a cold laugh.

Savannah really was a piece of work. She’d used this kind of dirty trick on more than one rich heir before..

Someone like her deserved to pay the price for once.

“Denton, we were right. The moment Ernest died, Savannah rushed right over. I’m coming to find you. let’s hit the hospital and make a show of it.” Adriana called Denton and quickly left the office.

Outside Haldoria Hospital, in the parking lot.

Savannah’s driver pulled up. “Ms. Feron, Adriana and Denton are at the hospital now. Looks like they’re scared.”

“The more scared they are, the stronger my hand.” Savannah leaned back in her seat, satisfied, waiting for Adriana’s call.

It didn’t take long before Adriana rang.

“Savannah, Denton and I talked about your conditions. We can give you half the shares, but you have to guarantee this stays between us.” Adriana’s voice was low and firm.

“I just changed my mind,” Savannah said with a smug laugh, feeling even more secure.

“Savannah!” Adriana’s voice was full of anger.

“Don’t get worked up, Adriana. I just think half the share aren’t enough for me to keep my mouth shut. I want every single share Denton has in Lincoln Group. Then, he can go be the Gills‘ live–in son–in–law. I want full control of Lincoln Group. If he doesn’t agree, I’m not only leaking the HIV story, but I’ll also expose all the dirt from inside Lincoln Group. After all, during my time managing the company, I’ve learned enough about it. I’ve got plenty of skeletons to air out.”

Savannah sounded gleeful.

Adriana fell silent for a long moment before finally replying, “Give us a little time to think about it…”

After hanging up, Savannah gave the driver a satisfied nod. “Let’s go.”

As they drove off, Savannah called Mister. “Mister, Adriana and Denton agreed to hand over the Lincoln Group shares. They have no other choice.”

Encounter Cafe.

The second floor was quiet, not a single other customer in sight.

Denton sat in the furthest corner, looking miserable as he waited for Savannah.

Savannah showed up alone, though her bodyguard waited at the top of the stairs, just in case.

“Heh, Savannah, I never thought you’d be this ruthless.” Denton looked as if he’d only just realized how far Savannah would go. He looked hurt, in disbelief.

Savannah just smiled. Her face showed not a hint of guilt, only satisfaction at getting her way. “Sorry, Denton, but I didn’t have a choice. You know how it is–winners get it all. You’re still young. You have a lot, to learn.”

Denton said nothing, gripping his hands tight, fighting to keep his anger in check.

“You really thought using Lily to set me up and giving me some dirty disease would make me just roll over and obey? Dream on.” Denton finally ground out the words.

Savannah slowly opened a file folder and slid the transfer papers across the table. “Denton, don’t be so dramatic. You’re young–catching something like this isn’t the end of the world. As long as you take your meds and follow the treatment plan, you could still have a long life ahead of you.”
