Chapter 387 You Brought This On Yourself
Denton slammed the table in anger, sending coffee flying to the floor.
Savannah’s bodyguards rushed in, but she raised a hand, smiling, and waved them off.
“Savannah, tell me, if I make a move to kill you right now, would your bodyguards get here to protect in time?” Denton gripped a shard of glass, his voice low and threatening.
“Denton, your life is just getting started. Is it worth throwing your life away because of me?” Savannah looked completely confident that Denton wouldn’t go that far.
“Besides, choosing Lily and getting into a relationship with her, that was your decision. I didn’t force you. You were just young and impulsive. You were easy to tempt. Can’t blame me for that. All I did was use it as leverage.” She nodded toward the contract. “Sign this and you’ll still be the Gills‘ son–in–law. Even without Lincoln Group, your life won’t be bad, will it?”
Denton’s face went red with anger. He was young, and he knew he’d walked right into her trap. Even if Savannah hadn’t completely set him up, he was still furious. His whole body shook.
Everything ugly about human nature showed up in Savannah, plain as day.
“Sign the agreement, transfer the shares, and I promise your secret stays safe.” Savannah smiled as she pressed him again.
“Killing your own father lands you in hell,” Denton shot back, then sat down and signed the transfer. “You better keep your word. If anything gets out, I’ll sue you for blackmail.”
He waved his phone at Savannah. “I recorded everything that happened today. If you leak a word, I’ll go straight to the cops.”
Savannah narrowed her eyes, not surprised Denton had a backup plan. If he hadn’t, she would have been suspicious.
She just smiled and nodded. “Don’t worry, I know how this works.”
Denton scoffed, got up, and shot the bodyguards a cold look as he left.
They wanted to stop him, but Savannah held them back.
Savannah looked at the signed transfer, grinning in satisfaction.
She was so young, and she’d already become the actual decision–maker of Lincoln Group.
She felt proud. What her father schemed for his whole life, she’d taken with barely any effort.
After a long moment, she stood and called Mister.
“Mister, the paperwork’s signed. Lincoln Group’s holding a board meeting this afternoon, and I’ll officially be running the show,” Savannah said, brimming with pride.
“Stay sharp, and don’t get cocky,” Mister warned.
But Savannah was already lost in her own sense of achievement.
“For the board meeting, I’ll send my own person over. Make him the CEO,” Mister instructed.

Savannah gripped her phone so tightly her knuckles turned white. There was no way she’d just hand over what she’d fought so hard for.
Why? Why am I still under someone’s thumb when I’ve come this far? If Mister didn’t have so much dirt on her, she would never be this powerless.
“No…” Savannah clenched her phone. I can’t let Mister control me forever.
