I didn’t know what I was expecting, but watching him standing dangerously close scared the living shit out of me. A scream. tore out of my throat, waiting for him to strangle the life out of the, but that never came. He simply stood there, staring at me with a blank expression.
The scream died down in my throat as I blinked in confusion. He wasn’t going to kill me or something? I shifted my weight from one leg to another, chest heaving as I waited for him to do something.
He tossed his stick at me, and I jumped, thinking he wanted to use it to hit me when he broke the silence. “Have you played hockey before?” He asked, taking me by surprise.
I shook my head, wondering where that came from when he turned back towards the rink. I picked his stick on the floor and followed after him, unsure if that was what he expected of me.
He stopped to look at me once we reached the rink, and I had no idea what was going on. He opened a bag on the floor and brought out a pair of skates and helmets for me to take. It was the first time I was standing on the ice, and I didn’t know what to do.
“Put them on,” he ordered.
I started by wearing the helmet before putting on the skates, and standing up suddenly became difficult. The blades on the bottom rolled before I could even stand, making me fall on my Butt.
Is this some kind of punishment? With these damn skates on, there was no way I’d be able to run even if he tried to kill me
now.
He stretched out his hands to me, taking me by surprise. “Here,” he said, as if being in the same room with him wasn’t already scary. Now I have to rely on him if I want to get out of here.
Great!
I placed my hands on his, and he dragged me up. The blades rolled, gliding through the ice and a scream tore through my throat. He held me still before I could fall, and my heart skipped a beat.
He turned swiftly, standing behind me like a professional who was tutoring a kid. “It’s simple,” he said, holding my shoulders to make me relax. My heart pounded against my ribcage, and I hated how I could never tell what was going on with him.
Is he angry? Is he going to be punished? I had no freaking idea, but pressing my body against his as he stood behind me sent chills down my spine.
“First, you have to relax while you’re on the ice,” his hot breath fanned my neck as he spoke, and my stomach twitched.
He wrapped his arm around mine, bringing his head to my check, as he guided me on how to hold the stick properly, but honestly, I could barely hear a word he spoke.
My breath hitched from how close he was, and if he felt the way my muscles tensed every time he touched me, he didn’t speak about it.
“Relax and stay focused,” he whispered, and I almost moaned about how good he sounded. It was the first time I’d see him so calm, trying to teach me something he enjoys doing the most, and I couldn’t help the smile that curved my lips.
I followed his advice, seeing how he had no intention to punish he and relaxed, even though my entire body was fully awake of his presence.
“I’ll pull away now, but don’t worry, I’m right behind you,” he sa, and that sounded awfully reassuring. It was like he was making a promise to always have my back even though I knew that was not this was all about.

“Try to take control,” he said again. “To balance, you have to stealy your weight so that the skates don’t control you.”
My chest heaved as he took a step back, leaving a little space between us. He withdrew his hands around me slowly, and I missed the warmth from his body immediately.
“Try not to look at the ice,” he continued. “Keep your gaze fixed n your target.”
He pulled away completely, leaving me by myself, and my legs buckled. His hands wrapped around my waist, holding me up with his weight before I could fall, and my heart slammed violently against my chest.
“I told you to relax,” he rasped. “Keep your gaze fixed on the puck,” he ordered, and I did as I was told. “Now, hold the stick tight because we’re about to make our hit.”
He wrapped his hands around mine, and I tried not to focus on the effect his presence has on my body. “At the count of three, you hit the puck.”
I nodded as my heart pounded in my chest.
“One… two…” He released my hands and pulled away. My head smapped back, but before I could turn to face him, he snapped at me. “Don’t look back! Keep your eyes on the puck.”
I swallowed hard, replaying everything he had taught me over and over when he called on three.
I lifted the stick in the air, maybe a little too high as I hit the ball I snapped my eyes closed, waiting for Kael’s condescending words when he broke the silence.
“You did it!”
Omg! I did?
“Yessss!!!!” I jumped up excitedly, and before I knew it, the skates began to move on their own. I still couldn’t control it, and everything Kael yelled echoed in the distance as I screamed on top of my lungs.
“Fuck,” I heard him cursed under his breath as I glide off aimlessly. “Control it with your weight,” he yelled, but I didn’t know what the hell that meant.
He glided to my front, trying to stop me, when I crashed right into him. Kael fell on the eyes with me crashing on top of
him.
I inhaled a breath of relief, thankful that he was able to stop me on time, when my eyes met with his. Neither of us tried to pull away or break from the contact. I bet he could tell how nervous I was from the way my heart was slamming against my chest.
“I… I’m sorry.” I apologized quickly, trying to stand up, when his hands shot to my waist, keeping me in the same position.
I swallowed the lumps that formed in my throat as his eyes scared mine as if he was trying to look into my soul.
My body tingled against his, sending a rush of butterflies downy stomach. His eyes fell on my lips, and I bit my lower lips before I could stop myself.
He released a low groan.
A warm sensation bloomed in my stomach and when he reached up to claim my lips with his, I welcomed it like I had been longing for it.
His hands wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer as he explored every depth in my mouth. It wasn’t rough or anything that I had imagined kissing him would look like. It was low, passionate and when he thrust his tongue into my mouth, eating me hungrily like it was the only thing he had ever raved, my body melted into his touch.

His hands went down my body, pulling me even closer and heat flush my cheeks as my nipple hardened. I was certain he could feel them from how my body was pressed against his. He but my lower lips, and I moaned from the pleasure.
Kael finally pulled away, both of us breathless and I couldn’t help but miss the feeling of his lips on mine.
Our bodies were still pressed together from the way he was holding me and he didn’t look like he was about to pull away.
“I want you,” he said in a husky voice and my pussy clenched. My heart almost exploded from how fast it was throbbing, and I was sure he could feel it too.
Kael Drakenwood wanted me.
I didn’t think I’d live long to witness this day, as a rush of heat rose to my cheeks.
“I want you, Nevaeh,” he repeated, his gaze never leaving mine in case I didn’t hear him the first time. “And there is the thing,” his voice dropped, sending chills down my spine.
“If I am to have you, I won’t share you with anyone else. I cannot tolerate the idea of other men touching you. unless you want to be the reason I kill someone, and trust me Nev,” his hands stopped on my boobs and my breath hitched.
“I will.”
My heart did a backflip from how territorial he sounded. Even though hearing that he’d kill someone if they touched me should scare, it melted my heart in the oddest way possible knowing that Kael was jealous of seeing me with other men.
“You’ll stay away from my teammates and every other boy in this school for that matter.”
Seeing this possessive side of him brought a smile to my face, and knowing that I wasn’t the only one that felt our connection made me even more confident.
“I have no idea why you think I’d want to mess around with your team members or anyone in the school at all.” I pointed
out.
I didn’t even think any of them knew my name aside from Travis, who also hadn’t spoken to me since the day he took me to the club.
“Have you slept with Travis before?”
I flinched at his words, my eyes widened in surprise. “No! Of course, not. Why would you even think of that?”
I thought we were having a normal conversation, but the way he pulled away from me so fast made me think maybe I was getting my hopes up for nothing.
My body shook as it made contact with the ice but Kael didn’t even look back. Before I could ask what this was all about, he had stormed out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him.
