With Elijah backing him up, Lucian proudly ran over to his grandfather. “Grandpa, you’re the only one who makes sense.”

Sarah rolled her eyes. “Where does that leave me?”

Elijah sat on the couch. He glanced at Lucas, who hadn’t said a word, and snorted. “How are you going to handle this?”

“I haven’t decided yet.” Lucas stood up and left the Grant Estate.

Seeing his brother leave, Lucian didn’t want to hang around and be an eyesore either, so he followed him.

Lucas’s face tightened as he glared at Lucian, but Lucian just kept grinning like a jerk.

Megan gave a nervous little laugh. “Then why are you out here drinking?”

Katherine could drink, but she rarely did.

“Because I’m annoyed.” Katherine turned to Megan. “I just don’t get it.”

“Get what?”

“I don’t get how someone can be so stupid.”

Lucian glanced at the “stupid” person next to him.

Lucas’s face turned even darker as Katherine kept going.

“Is his brain stuck in his ass? He doesn’t believe a word I say, but he believes everything Rachel tells him. And he keeps saying he doesn’t want a divorce. If we’re not divorcing, then I’m his wife. Why can’t he give his own wife a little bit of trust?”

“Okay, okay. Stop drinking,” Megan said, trying to take the bottle away.
