Chapter 141 Ivy Woke Up

“Mommy, you really came back. I thought-I thought I’d never see you again.” Ivy wiped her face with her tiny hand as she spoke.

Ty. I’m here. You’re always going to see me. Iy, tell me, why did you go down to the basement? Why’d you go into that freezing cold room?”

“Because bad Rachel said you died. She told me you were there, and if I wanted to see you again. I had to go down there.”

“So you really went?”

“I couldn’t find you. I didn’t want to believe her but I got scared. That place was so cold, and there were so many lockers. I heard people say that’s where they keep people after they die. I tried to open one, but I couldn’t. I was so scared I’d never see you again, so I just waited…”

Just like Katherine suspected. Rachel had told try that on purpose. She had even told her about the morgue just to make Ivy go there alone.

Katherine looked at Ivy. Her heart felt like it was being ripped apart. She hugged Ivy tight, “You silly kid. You knew she was lying, so why would you believe her?”

“I didn’t want to, but I was scared. I was really stared it was true.”

Ivy couldn’t just brush it off as a lie. She had to see for herself. When she couldn’t be sure, she was too scared to leave, so she just stayed in the morgue, thinking she could be with Katherine.

Katherine bit her lip, holding back tears.

“All right, Ivy. I get it. I’m back now. You need lie down and rest. Get some sleep. I’ll be back soon.”

“Where are you going?” Ivy grabbed Katherine hand.

Katherine patted Ivy’s head. “I’ll be right back.

Katherine stepped out, grabbed a knife from the tray, and headed to Rachel’s room.

Rachel still hadn’t heard Ivy was found. She figured, after two days and a night in the morgue, Ivy had to be frozen to death by now

With Katherine and Ivy both gone, Rachel thought she could finally relax She even laughed

The next second, the door flew open as if a burst of wind had hit it.

A wave of cold air swept in from the hall.

Rachel’s laugh vanished. She frowned and stared at the door.

Rachel flinched and looked up. The sky outside was dark, and the only light came in from the hall.

She glanced down, and then a shadow appeared right in front of her. Her heart nearly stopped. She screamed and got yanked to the floor.

The door slammed shut, blocking the light.

“Who are you?”

Rachel ignored the pain and looked up, panicked. Someone stood over her, face hidden, but their presence was terrifying.

After everything that had happened, Rachel was already on edge. She scrambled backward. “Who are you? What do you want? This is a hospital-” She started coughing and couldn’t finish.

A hand closed around her neck. Rachel tried to fight, but she was pinned to the floor and couldn’t move.

She opened her mouth, desperate for air, but it was no use. The person holding her down radiated rage. Their grip felt like it could crush her.

Rachel started gasping, her breath ragged.

Her hand found her phone on the floor. The screen lit up, casting a faint glow on the other person’s face.

Rachel’s eyes went wide when she saw Katherine

Katherine is supposed to be dead.

Rachel’s panic took over. She stared at Katherine, her mouth open, making choking noises. She clawed at the floor, using every bit of strength to crawl away, screaming, “Ghost! Ghost! Someone help me! Help!”
