Ivy didn’t say anything. She just pinched the corner of her clothes.

Lucas rubbed her head. “Still sleepy?”

She pressed her lips tightly and shook her head hard.

“It’s nothing.”

Then she turned to run downstairs,

Behind her, Lucas called out, “Wait.”

Ivy stopped and looked up at him. “Mr. Grant, do you need something else?”

“When is your mom coming to pick you up?”

Ivy thought for a moment. She remembered clearly what Katherine told her before. “Looks

like noon.”

“Mm.”

He didn’t tell her to leave.

She looked at him again. “Anything else?”

“You still haven’t told me your mom’s name. You said you would.”

Her big eyes shifted as she looked at him innocently. “Did I? I don’t remember. If I don’t remember, then it doesn’t count.”

Lucas raised an eyebrow at the clever little girl in front of him.

“You’re already this tricky at your age?”

“Tricky? Me?”

She was really good at pretending to be clueless

Lucas rubbed her head once more.

Forget it. He’d already ordered a paternity test. I didn’t matter if she told him or not.

Katherine jumped and quickly grabbed it. It was a video call.

She sat up straight and answered.

A handsome, almost wickedly charming face appeared on the screen.

As soon as Katherine saw him, she got mad. “You still dare to call me?”

His attractive eyes fixed on her as he asked in a low voice, “Why wouldn’t I?”

“You sent the kids here without telling me! Were you trying to scare me to death?”

Marsh Skeldon raised a long eyebrow slightly. “I thought you’d thank me.”

“Thanks? Hmph!”

Now that Lucas knew about the children, Katherine felt like she was falling apart, like a rabbit with its fur all puffed up.

“Are you coming back after this?” Marsh suddenly asked.

That annoyed her even more. How could she go back now? She still didn’t know what Lucas was planning. She still had to divorce him, and there would be a one-month mandatory waiting period.

With all that, she wasn’t leaving anytime soon.

“I don’t know yet.”

Marsh lit a cigarette and took a slow drag. Smok curled around his handsome face, giving him a dangerous look as he stared at her.

His voice turned colder. “Your ex-husband won’t let you return?”

“Not exactly… Wait. You need to take responsibility for the kids and me.”

Katherine suddenly remembered. If he hadn’t sent them over, none of that would have happened.

When he heard that, the dangerous look on his face faded. His brows lifted slightly, almost excited, as if he’d been waiting for that.

“Fine. I’ll take responsibility. I’ll send people to bring you and the kids back. If you marry me, I’ll handle everything.”

Katherine almost choked. She patted her chest. Don’t scare me. Who said I’m marrying you? I meant-you sent the three of them here, and now Lucas has found out. What are you going

to do about that?”

“What do you want me to do?”
