My Fake Boyfriend Is the School Bad Boy novel Chapter 155

Chapter 155 Demanding The Number One Spot

Chloe rolled her eyes. The offer insulted her.

“Keep your money, Steinmann,” she sneered. “My father owns a massive real estate firm. I do not need a handout. This is not about cash.

Then what is it about?” he demanded.

Chloe shifted her focus back to me. A slow, wicked smile stretched across her mouth again. The expression carried years of hidden

resentment.

“It is about the natural order of things, Chloe said. She crossed her arms over her chest. “You spent four years making me feel stupid, Raisa. You sit in the front row of every class. You score perfect marks on every exam. The teachers praise your brilliant mind. You act like you are better than all of us because you study until your eyes bleed.”

“I study because I have to,” I told her. The defense felt weak against her anger. “I need the medical scholarship. You know that. We talked

about it in middle school.”

“And I need the Ivy League acceptance, Chloe fired back. The calm facade cracked, revealing the frantic pressure she carried. “My parents demand a specific future. They demand the top tier. The admissions office for my target school only takes the best. I possess the extracurricular activities. I possess the legacy status. But I need the academic rank.”

A cold, sharp realization pierced my chest. The air left my lungs.

Crestview Prep ranked the senior class every semester. The rankings determined the graduation honors. The rankings dictated the flow of

exclusive scholarships.

I held the number one spot. I maintained a flawless grade point average since freshman year. I earned the position through brutal, endless nights of studying. I sacrificed my social life, my sleep, and my free time to build an impenetrable academic record.

Chloe held the number two spot.

“You want the rank,” I whispered. The horror washed over me in a massive, suffocating wave.

“I want the title, Chloe corrected. She tapped her manicured finger against the folded contract. “I want Valedictorian.”

The word echoed in the empty cafeteria. It felt like a physical blow to my stomach.

“You cannot be serious, Ryder intervened. He stepped in front of me again, trying to block her demand. “You are blackmailing her over a

high school speech?

“I am blackmailing her over her entire future, Chloe corrected him. She enjoyed the power dynamic. She enjoyed holding our lives in her hands. “The Valedictorian spot guarantees the specific premed scholarship Raisa needs. Without the title, the funding goes to a different student. Without the funding, she cannot afford medical school. She stays on the East Side forever.”

Chapter 155 Demanding The Number One Spot

She knew the exact mechanics of my survival. She knew the precise location of my deepest vulnerability. She aimed her weapon with

perfect accuracy.

“You cannot ask me to do that,” I gasped. My hands trembled. I gripped the strap of my canvas bag to anchor myself. “I worked for four

years. I earned those grades.”

“You also earned an accessory to fraud,” Chloe pointed out. She waved the blue-ink paper in the air. “You face a massive choice, old friend. You protect your pristine academic record, or you protect your billionaire boyfriend.”

She laid the terms out on the sticky linoleum floor. The impossible choice materialized in front of me.

“Here is the deal,” Chloe continued. Her voice turned hard and businesslike. “The midterm exams begin on Tuesday. I want you to bomb the advanced biology test. I want you to fail the calculus exam. I want your grade point average to drop below mine. You surrender the Valedictorian rank by the end of the week.”

“If she bombs the midterms, she loses the university funding,” Ryder argued. His voice shook with raw fury. “You destroy her life.”

“She made her choice when she signed the fake contract, Chloe stated. She did not possess a single ounce of mercy. “If she keeps her grades, I send the photos to Principal Miller on Monday morning. Miller expels you. Your father ruins your life. The local society pages print the scandal. The choice belongs to her.”

She set a firm, immovable deadline. She gave me forty-eight hours to dismantle my entire existence.

Ryder turned to face me. The panic and the terror raged in his hazel eyes. He recognized the magnitude of the trap. He offered to take the fall earlier, but Chloe blocked the sacrifice. She tied our fates together. If he confessed, the administration still punished me for the conspiracy. If I maintained my rank, the administration expelled him.

“Do not do it, Raisa,” Ryder pleaded. He reached out and grabbed my shoulders. His large hands gripped my tense muscles. “Do not throw your future away for me. I can survive the expulsion. I will deal with my father. You need the medical school track.”

I looked into his eyes. I saw the boy who guarded my gates. I saw the boy who bought the midnight silk to shield my pride. I saw the boy who kissed me in the freezing wind and promised to stand by my side.

He possessed a brilliant mind. He possessed a future outside the destructive shadow of the Steinmann legacy. If he faced expulsion, the board sent him away. The father he despised would tighten the chains. The monster narrative would win. I refused to let Crestview ruin

him.

“You have until Monday morning, Raisa, Chloe called out. She turned her back on us. She walked toward the heavy double doors leading to the gym. “Make sure you study hard for those exams.”

She pushed the doors open. She walked out of the cafeteria, taking the college-ruled paper with her. The metal hinges groaned, and the

doors clicked shut.
