My Husband's Affair My Anniversary Gift (Lily and David) novel Chapter 126

His eyes flickered, unreadable, but his tone was sharp as a blade. “We’re not divorced yet. You’re still my wife. It’s your duty.”

Wife.

The word hit her like a slap. Ironic, cruel.

Lily laughed bitterly, her voice shaking. “Wife? Then go find someone else to play house with. I’m tired of this.”

Her hand itched to slap him, but she held herself back. Instead, she shoved him aside and stormed toward her room.

“David, get lost!” she shouted without looking back.

But the heavy footsteps followed.

Her hand reached for the door, but before she could slam it shut, David caught it, forcing it open. He stepped inside, his towering frame filling the space.

“David...”

Her words were cut off when he slammed her against the wall. His lips claimed hers once more, rougher, hungrier.

“Mmph....!”

Lily thrashed, fists beating against his chest, legs kicking, but he trapped her completely, his strength overwhelming. His tongue forced its way into her mouth, dominating, relentless.

She tried to stay strong, tried to fight, but her body betrayed her. The remnants of alcohol in her veins, the heat of his touch, the familiar scent, everything tangled into a dangerous haze.

Her hand, instead of pushing him away, clutched at his shirt. Her body trembled, caught between rage and weakness.

Her mind screamed no, but her body… her body was beginning to react.

His rough hands slipped under her fabric, and Lily shivered at his sudden touch. She was only in her pajamas, thin and loose, nothing underneath to hide the warmth of her skin. David’s eyes darkened, his lips crashing against hers with a kiss that grew hungrier by the second.

He didn’t give her a chance to finish. He loomed over her, mouth crashing onto hers again, swallowing her protests. His lips were harsh, teeth grazing, hands pinning her down like she belonged to him.

“Stop...” Lily gasped against his mouth, her body arching under the weight of him, caught between rage and the terrifying weakness that came with his touch.

“Don’t tell me to stop,” he growled, voice hoarse. “You think I’ll let you run to another man? Smile for him the way you never smiled for me?”

His words sank into her like fire, his breath hot against her neck as his lips trailed downward, marking, biting, leaving proof of his anger.

Lily’s breath caught, her body trembling under his touch. The sudden intrusion made her legs tighten around his hand, but David didn’t stop, if anything, his movements grew hungrier. His lips trailed lower, hot and demanding, marking every inch of her skin he could reach.

“David… please…” her voice broke, half a plea, half a moan. She didn’t know if she wanted him to stop or to keep going.

He lifted his face, eyes blazing as they locked with hers. “You drive me crazy, Lily. Do you even realize what you’re doing to me?” His voice was husky, his breath ragged as he claimed her mouth again, stealing her words.

Her hands clutched his shoulders, weak against his strength. The room felt smaller, her heartbeat louder, as if the world outside no longer existed only the heat of his body pressing her down and the storm of emotions swirling inside her chest.
