My Husband's Affair My Anniversary Gift (Lily and David) novel Chapter 176

“David!” Lily’s voice trembled in anger. “Have you completely lost your mind?”

“Yes,” he shot back, his eyes burning. “I lost my mind the moment I saw you talking sweetly to another man, in front of your husband!”

“Your what?” Lily scoffed, almost laughing in disbelief. “You really won’t stop, will you? How long do you plan to keep pretending we’re husband and wife? You act like one when it suits you, and forget it when it doesn’t!”

He moved closer in one swift step and grabbed her jaw in one hand, his grip firm but not painful, his other arm wrapping around her waist.

“I’m not pretending, Lily,” his voice was low, trembling with restrained rage. “And I’ve told you a thousand times you’re not leaving me. And you’re sure as hell not having anything with Jabco.”

Lily stared straight into his dark eyes, unflinching.

“You don’t get to decide that,” she said stubbornly, her voice steady even as her heart raced. “Who I meet, who I talk to that’s my life. You don’t own me.”

She tried to pull his hand off, but he wouldn’t let go.

“Let me go!” she shouted, struggling.

But instead of letting go, David leaned in again, his voice rough.

“Then I’ll make you remember who you belong to,” he whispered and before she could speak, his lips crashed against hers once more.

His hand lifted, fingers brushing a damp strand of hair from her shoulder, his knuckles grazing the bare skin of her neck. She flinched, but not fast enough. His touch was fire, searing through the thin fabric of her pyjamas, branding her.

“Don’t,” she snapped, her voice sharp as a blade.

He ignored her.

His hand curled around her wrist the unbroken one and yanked her toward him. The sudden movement sent her stumbling, her bare toes scraping against the floor as she caught herself against his chest.

The heat of him burned, the steady thud of his heartbeat a counterpoint to the erratic rhythm of her own. She shoved at him with her good hand, her palm flat against his sternum, but he didn’t budge. In a one swift he pull down her pyjamas.

"No..." Lily froze, her mind went blank.

His other hand slid up her thigh, his calloused fingers rough against her skin as he hitched her leg around his waist. The cool air kissing the damp heat between her thighs.

“David....No...stop” His name came out as a warning, but her voice was already breathless, already betraying her.

"No... leave me, I'm warning you" Lily was breathless.

“Liar.”

His mouth crashed onto hers, brutal and demanding. His tongue forced its way past her lips, tangling with hers, tasting of desperation.

She struggled, her plastered hand slamming against his chest, but he absorbed the blow without flinching, his hands holding her captive.

One gripped her hip, his fingers digging into the soft flesh, the other tangled in her hair, tilting her head back to deepen the kiss. She could taste the salt of his skin, the iron tang of his need, and for a moment, she let herself drown in it, in the heat, the friction, the way his body molded to hers like they were made to fit.

Then he pulled back, his breath ragged, his eyes dark with something that looked almost like pain.

“You want this,” he said, his voice rough. “Don’t lie to yourself.”

She opened her mouth to deny it, but he silenced her with another kiss, softer this time, his lips brushing hers before trailing down her jaw, her neck, the sensitive hollow of her throat. His hands were everywhere tying and untying her pyjamas button with practiced ease, pushing the fabric from her shoulders until it left her body. The cool air hit her bare skin, raising goosebumps, but it was nothing compared to the heat of his gaze as he stepped back, drinking her in.

“Fuck,” he breathed, his voice thick. “You’re so fucking beautiful.”
