My Love Burns for Anyone Worth It novel Chapter 15

**Vows Became Blame by Mark Twain**
**Chapter 15**

Tessa clenched her jaw, fighting against the sharp twinge that radiated through her back as she pushed herself upright. A storm of resentment brewed in her eyes, darkening her gaze. Bella. The very name ignited a fire of loathing within her. How could one person’s actions lead to such a catastrophic unraveling of her life? If it weren’t for Bella, none of this chaos would have transpired.

Her anger didn’t stop there; it spilled over to Sebastian and Ronald as well. They professed their love for her, yet their betrayal cut deeper than any knife could. The ease with which they had inflicted pain upon her was almost unfathomable.

As she voiced her grievances, she could see the fury igniting in both men. Their expressions morphed from anger to a chilling smile that sent shivers down her spine. It was a smile that promised retribution.

“Tess,” Sebastian said, his voice low and ominous, “you’ll pay for what you’ve done.”

His words hung in the air like a dark omen. He didn’t linger for a rebuttal; instead, he pierced her with a long, scrutinizing look before turning on his heel, Ronald trailing closely behind him.

They didn’t need to confront her directly; they would leave it to someone else to handle the mess she had created.

Tessa’s mind raced as the urgency of the situation dawned on her. She needed to find Bella, but the search proved fruitless; it seemed as though Bella had vanished into thin air.

Her parents had separated long ago, leaving her abandoned in her childhood. Bella had never maintained a connection with them, and her circle of friends was painfully small. The only individuals who had ever come close to being family were Sebastian and Ronald, but now she had severed all ties with them, leaving them in the dark.

The remnants of her past—her childhood home—had been reduced to nothing more than a pile of ashes. There were no traces left, no signposts to guide them to her.

Then, as if struck by a sudden revelation, Sebastian’s eyes lit up. He hastily pulled out his phone and dialed a number, urgency lacing his every movement. The call connected almost instantly. Skipping pleasantries, he dove straight into the heart of the matter.

“Ms. Scott, did Bella come to you to discuss changing her college choice?”
