Chapter 100
“I’m actually looking forward to the moment Bruce makes his move,” Ray said coldly. “I want them to see what I’m truly capable of.”
If he went all out, he would kill everyone involved–leave no witnesses–and keep his secret of possessing an otherworldly dimensional space hidden.
Even though communications were already down and word would be hard to spread, Ray still wasn’t willing to take the risk.
In times like these, no amount of caution was excessive.
Meanwhile, in the Gantt household.
Lauren made her final plea.
“…As long as you let me go, I’ll be yours. I’ll be your woman–of course I will. You won’t have to pay anything anymore. Franklin, I know you truly like me. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have come to see me for four days straight. Trust me. As long as you help me, I will never betray you.”
The man she called Franklin was around forty, short in stature and extremely ugly. His skin was dark, his features coarse. But in Lauren’s eyes, he was now the only lifeline that could pull her out of this nightmare.
His full name was Franklin Ludlum.
Franklin hesitated. “No one would ever like me. I’m ugly, and I don’t even have money-”
“Franklin, do you want me to swear an oath?” Lauren said urgently. “Help me get out of here, and I’ll keep my promise. Everyone has betrayed me. You’re the only one who’s been good to me. If I don’t follow you, then who would I follow?”
Franklin was already wavering. Hearing this, his last bit of hesitation vanished, and he untied her.
Lauren quickly put on her clothes. Before, she’d been hiding under the covers, but now that she was leaving the bed, staying naked would mean freezing to death. This had nothing to do with modesty.
After being treated like a plaything, what shame did she have left?
“Franklin, once we get out, we’ll kill everyone outside,” Lauren said darkly.
Franklin was startled. Those people outside were her family. How could she say something like that?
But then he thought again–wasn’t Lauren their family too? And didn’t they tie her up and sell her off? No
wonder she hated them to the bone.
After a moment, he clenched his teeth. “For you, I’m willing.”
“Franklin, you’re so good to me.” Lauren leaned in and kissed him, making Franklin’s dark face bloom with a foolish smile.
“Franklin, you go out first and lie in wait behind them. Then I’ll open the door and come out to draw their

attention. When they see me, they’ll be completely shocked. That’s when you strike–take out the two men first,
Lauren said.
She was sharp enough to know that men were the main fighting force. Once Josh and Max were dealt with, Daisy would be no threat at all.
Franklin nodded repeatedly.
He went out and closed the door behind him. Josh glanced at him and said, “You stayed in there too long. If it weren’t for the fact that you come every day, I’d have charged you for another half hour.”
Franklin said nothing, only nodded.
