Chapter 114
Honey and Lola were breathtaking–absolutely stunning.
Even Lauren, who had always considered herself attractive, felt completely eclipsed in their presence. Standing before them, she simply couldn’t compare.
Yet, women like them were on their knees before Ray, serving him with total devotion.
Her face went pale.
With beauties like that at his side, how could Ray ever spare her a second glance?
“Ray, what did I ever do to you?” she shrieked, her composure finally snapping. Gone was the pretense of begging or endurance–now there was only raw, venomous hatred. Her last sliver of hope had vanished. “Why are you doing this to me?!”
Ray laughed in disbelief. “You’re actually asking me that?”
Some people never change–the venomous ones never reflect, they only blame.
But he wasn’t here to argue.
He’d shown her all this for one reason only: to let her see just how well he was living now. To make her regret. To make her seethe with envy and hate.
To wake her up? To make her weep and repent?
Heh. Save that for the afterlife.
All he needed to do was send her there.
With a cold smile, Ray shoved Lauren toward the front door.
Her face drained of color. Realizing his intent, she completely panicked. “Ray, what are you doing?! What are you doing?! No! No, please, NO!”
Ray remained unmoved. He opened the door, a faint smile on his lips, and–thump–kicked her straight out into the hall.
“Past life, this life… goodbye.”
Thud.
He shut the door without a moment’s hesitation.

Lauren scrambled desperately to get back inside, but a chunk of hail smashed into her face.
Though the hailstones were no longer as large as they’d been at the start, they were still marble–sized. One direct hit sent sharp pain exploding through her skull. Worse, the hail was toxic–even brushing the skin left it burning
and raw.
She screamed, frantically searching for cover, but more hail pelted down relentlessly. Her cries grew shrill as she collapsed, writhing on the ground in unbearable agony.
“Ray! Save me! Please, save me!” she screamed toward the only person who could possibly help, but her voice grew weaker and weaker… until it faded into nothing.

She stopped moving.
It wasn’t the poison that killed her–skin contact alone wasn’t that fast.
It was the cold. The extreme, paralyzing cold.
Ray stood by the window, watching without a flicker of emotion.
Just as he’d said–Lauren was gone. The grudges of two lifetimes were settled in a single stroke.
Finally, he could let go.
Ray turned away, feeling a profound lightness in his chest.
First, the fifteen–day threshold had passed, proving his rebirth was real.
Second, the last of the Gantt family was gone, and the knot in his heart was finally untied.
From now on, all he had to do was live as he pleased–and enjoy it.
Humming quietly, he started his workout.
That was one thing he could never neglect.
After finishing his routine and a hot shower, he pulled up the surveillance feeds–the newly installed cameras in the garage.
He fast–forwarded through the footage and quickly noticed: another body was missing.
