Chapter 128

Where were they?

The girls aheadwhere had they gone?

Not a single shadow remained.

Liz! Kristen!Ida shouted, her voice trembling despite herself.

Her call made Suzanne and the other woman halt. They swept their flashlights across the dark interior, searching frantically for the five missing companions.

Butthere was nothing.

Panic surged through the three. Darkness, combined with the unknown, twisted fear into a tight knot in their chests.

Then, a figure emerged from the shadows, illuminated by the flashlights.

Almost simultaneously, Ida and Suzanne raised their guns and pulled the triggers.

Each shot flashed briefly in the darkness, but to their horror, the figure still stood.

Your aim’s awful!Ray chuckled.

Was it really so bad? Of course not. He had placed the otherworldly spatial portal on the iron door, so every bullet they fired was instantly absorbed into the otherworldly space.

For even one bullet to hit him would have been a miracle. None even touched the room. Otherwise, hitting a wall or table would

have made a sound.

But Ida and the others were too terrified to reason it out. They shivered uncontrollably, struggling even to breathe.

Ray wouldn’t risk a single move. Seeing that the three froze in place and were unsure how many bullets remained in their guns, he didn’t advance. Instead, he turned on his flashlight, pointing its intense beam at them.

Silent bullets shot from the otherworldly spatial portal.

The portal was less than a meter away from the three women, so hitting them was effortless.

Bullets struck the three squarely in the forehead, and they fell back, staring skyward.

With that, all eight intruders were neutralized.

Ray walked over, collecting their weapons and bodies, then dragged the corpses outside the passageway.

He returned to the villa, closed the door, and switched the lights back on.

Honey and the others peeked out from behind the screen, faces pale with fear.

Guns!

Who wouldn’t be afraid? No matter how strong you were, in the face of a firearm, you were as fragile as an infant.

TThose peoplewhat happened to them?Honey asked, her voice trembling.

Taken care of. I moved the bodies outside,Ray replied casually, though a frown creased his brow.

He had examined the eight women closelyfour bore tattoos, meaning they weren’t police. Coupled with the sirens earlier, he

had initially guessed they might have stolen guns and a police vehicle from a station.

But he hadn’t seen any car. His guess was wrongthe guns and vehicle had come from the prison, not the police.

In other words, now, even ordinary people could easily get their hands on firearins.

Ray had the otherworldly storage space and its bulletshe was invincible in a direct confrontation. But what if someone shot him from behind?
