Daniel sneered. “Cut the bullshit! Where are your car keys? Hand them over right now, or I’ll shoot you dead and search you myself!”

The keys weren’t some encrypted code. He could search for them after getting rid of Ray, so why had he asked Ray to hand them over? Well, he just wanted to save some trouble.

Ray chuckled. “Where did you get the guts to start making demands of me?”

Naturally, it was because the husky was dead. With the husky gone, their little team could finally break up.

What–were they supposed to stick together and have a hot meal or something?

Evil courage surged in Daniel’s heart. He suddenly swung the gun toward the other woman and pulled the trigger.

With the muzzle trained on her, Cassandra had no choice but to lower her weapon and step back slowly, until she was almost level with Ray, the two of them only about two meters apart.

“Ray!” Daniel swung the gun back toward him. “My patience is limited. If you don’t hand over the keys right now, that corpse on the ground will be your future.”

Ray smiled faintly. “Daniel… do you really have no idea how stupid you are?”

Cassandra’s eyes lit up.

She suddenly thought of the dense cluster of bullet holes in the walls–and the spent bullets scattered across the floor.
