“I do!”
“I know!”
“I know too!”
All five students raised their hands at once, eyes gleaming with anticipation as they stared at him.
Ray casually pointed. “You–tell me.”
It was a girl, but she was not particularly pretty. She cleared her throat. “Doug came by not long ago… he was asking about
someone’s whereabouts.”
“Who?” Ray asked.
“Professor Campbell from the Literature Department,” she replied.
Ray blinked. “Why would he be looking for a professor?”
The girl hesitated, uncertain. A boy sitting next to her quickly raised his hand to speak.
Ray nodded. “Go ahead.”
“I guess Doug has his eye on Professor Campbell,” the boy said. “She’s extremely beautiful, a dream for every student and faculty member in the Literature Department.”
“Not just the Literature Department! Our class isn’t even in the department, but we still have Marxism–Leninism classes- taught by Professor Campbell. There’s not a single guy who isn’t completely smitten by her. Some even call her name in their dreams!” another boy interjected.
Ray clicked his tongue, curious. “She’s that beautiful, huh?”
“Yes!” Three boys answered in unison, their eyes full of longing. Clearly, they were daydreaming.
He was a little surprised. Even now, in this world gone to hell, these guys still have time to fantasize? One person would be understandable–but three? That said a lot about just how stunning Professor Campbell must be.
“What’s her full name?” he asked.
“Heather Campbell,” the three boys said together again. Judging by their expressions, they had probably called her “Heather” in their dreams countless times.
Ray thought for a moment. “Give me more details about her.”
“She’s only 27,” one boy answered quickly. “Got her bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. all right here at our university. She stayed on as faculty right after graduating. And she just got engaged a couple years ago her fiancé is the vice chancellor’s son He teaches physics here.”
Just engaged? Then she might still be a virgin.
Wait–why was he caring about whether someone else was a virgin? Ray chuckled
The boys‘ descriptions had unconsciously pulled him in, painting Professor Campbell as the ultimate beauty. He had a habit of collecting top–tier beauties, so his mind automatically checked whether she was still untouched.
He nodded. “So Doug went looking for Professor Campbell?”
“Yes,” the three boys confirmed. One added, “She’s either in the Literature Building or at the faculty dorms.”

“Right! You have to stop Doug! Don’t let him harm Professor Campbell!”
The three boys were clearly more worried about Heather than the food in Ray’s hands.
Ray didn’t comment. He pulled out four packs of instant noodles and four bottles of water. “One each.”
