One against four was a piece of cake.

“Even if you were homeowners, you still wouldn’t have the right to kick anyone out–let alone when you’re not,

Ray shook his head. “If anyone’s getting out, it’s you. Hurry up. You’ve already wasted enough of my time.”
“Damn it!” The potbellied man spat.
Seeing their boss get angry, the three lackeys all shot furious glares at Ray. The thug with the ear stud reached out directly, trying to grab Ray by the collar.
Ray’s fist flew out. The ear–stud thug folded at the waist and dropped to his knees, retching violently.
Seeing that Ray actually dared to fight back, the potbellied man and the other two flew into a rage and swung their fists at him.
Chaos erupted.
In the end, all four of them were kicked or dragged out of the elevator one after another.
And Ray? He got hit a few times too, but his physical condition was already exceptionally strong. A few punches didn’t do much–just some dull pain.
‘I have too little real–life fighting experience,‘ he thought. ‘Otherwise, I would’ve taken fewer hits. Maybe none at all.‘
The elevator was just too small. There was no room to dodge or reposition.
This time, with no one blocking the door, it closed quickly. Ray pressed the button for the 15th floor.
“Don’t think I’m going to thank you just because you helped me,” the drunken man suddenly said. “I didn’t ask you to.”
How shameless and ungrateful.
Ray glanced at him and thought, ‘We don’t even know each other. Why are you so hostile toward me? Unless… you’re jealous of the rich.‘
It clicked.
Looking at the man’s heavy alcohol stench and the pile of debt he was in, it was obvious his life wasn’t going well. And Ray winning the 50–million–jackpot was already common knowledge in the neighborhood.
No wonder this guy couldn’t stand the sight of him.
That also explained why his first glance was envy and the second was contempt–probably cursing him as a tasteless nouveau riche in his head.
Ray chuckled softly and deliberately picked at his wound.
“How much do you owe them?” he asked.
The drunken man froze, like he’d been stabbed in a weak spot. He clamped his mouth shut.

“Oh, right,” Ray went on casually. “I can help you press the first floor later. Those four guys should still be down there.”
The drunken man visibly trembled, fear flashing in his eyes.
Ray continued, “Even if I didn’t act specifically for your sake, I still helped you. You don’t have to thank me, talking to me like that? That’s not right. You owe me an apology.”
As he spoke, he placed his finger on the button for the first floor.
He truly wouldn’t mind going back down and tossing this guy out.
