My Reborn Apocalypse Begins with a Divorce novel Chapter 59

Besides, the guy we’re targeting is a total scumbag!

Greg’s eyes burned with rage.

Our kid just accidentally took one of his food deliveries! Did he really have to set us up like thatfirst getting my dad hospitalized, then extorting eight grand from us? When Helena just splashed a little mess on his door, he had the nerve to stomp around in the middle of the night so nobody could sleep!

Now that we’ve got the chance, does he think we won’t finish him off?

Felicia slammed her hand on the table. That bastard really is human garbage. Flaunting all his supplies in the group chat. When Mr. Marshall and the others tried to buy food from him, he completely ignored them. Made it clear he couldn’t care less if people lived or died.

Greg nodded fiercely. Taking from him is like taking from the rich to give to the poor. We’d be doing the whole neighborhood a favor!

With that perfectly selfrighteous excuse, all four adults in the family were fired up. Even the kid was gripping a pair of scissors, his face twisted with malice.

After the food delivery incident, his parents had nearly spanked his backside raw. Of course, he hated Ray’s guts.

But not one of the five stopped to considerwas any of this actually Ray’s fault?

Who stole the delivery first? And who, after stealing it, not only refused to apologize but acted entitled and aggressive?

They waited until the dead of night before creeping out.

Every one of them carried a weaponkitchen knives, hammers, scissors.

They took the stairs down to the underground garage. It was eleven at night. The underground parking garage was freezing and utterly deserted. The family of five shivered as they shuffled forward. Even in the city, winter temps usually only dropped to the low twenties Fahrenheit, maybe the teens at worst. Now it was below zero. Ordinary winter coats couldn’t cut it. Even layered up, they were trembling.

It was pitch black, so dark they couldn’t see their own hands. Luckily, their phones still had juice. Greg led the way, flashlight on.

Before long, the five of them arrived beneath Ray’s villa.

But when they faced the solid steel security door, all five just stared, dumbfounded.

They’d only thought about how to deal with Ray. They’d never considered how to actually get inside his home.

There was no way the hammer in their hands could break down this iron door.

It wasn’t about lacking confidenceeven if they hammered until sunrise, they’d never get through.

Now what?

All five of them were at a loss.

Maybewe should go back and come up with a plan, try again tomorrow?Austin suggested.

Yeah.Everyone else immediately agreed.

But just as they were about to turn and leave, they heard a soft click.

The doorswung open on its own.

It pushed outward toward them.

All five jumped at once. Austin, the most timid, almost fell flat on his back.

But though the door was open, no one came out.

Greg gathered his nerve and peered inside. It was utterly dark; he couldn’t see a thing.

What do we do?someone whispered.

The five exchanged glances. Greg clenched his jaw and said, The door’s already open. We’re going in. Can’t pass up an opportunity like this!

It must be an electronic lockmaybe it malfunctioned.
