My Reborn Apocalypse Begins with a Divorce novel Chapter 62

A night passed, and the apocalypse entered its fifth day.

It was eight in the morning, yet the world outside remained shrouded in fog, dim and heavy with gloom.

Hail still fell from the sky, though it had grown smaller and less dense. A thick layer of ice had formed across the ground, mixed with frozen pelletsso slick it was nearly impossible to walk. Worse still, the ice was toxic, making it completely unsafe to go outside.

There was no rescue.

It had already been five days. People’s patience had been completely drained, and an even deeper despair settled over every heart.

One unavoidable question hung in the air: this disaster was unlikely to end anytime soon, and rescue was clearly not coming. So how were they supposed to save themselves

Everyone grew more restless by the hour.

Ray took Leo down to the garage. The atmosphere felt unusually heavy. Everyone stared at one another with strange, guarded looks, as if they weren’t neighbors who had lived together for years, but sworn enemies.

Looks like I should walk the dog at night from now on,Ray thought.

In a frontal fight, with the ammunition reserves in his alternate space, Ray could slaughter the entire neighborhood several times over. But if things truly turned into a lifeordeath feud, who would attack him head-

on?

He didn’t have eyes on his backwhat if a cold, hidden shop came flying his way?

Open attacks were easy to dodge. Hidden attacks were not. Ray decided it was better to be just a little more cautious.

He kept the dog to relieve boredom, not to endanger himself.

And besides, he noticed that many people were staring at him with hostile, predatory gazes.

Obviously, after he had shown off his wealthin the group chat, he had become a target.

He didn’t really care.

If they had the ability, they were welcome to try breaking into his safe house.

More guestswould only make life less boring.

And he could even stage a few grand dramas himself. He had already planned everything out.

After walking around once, Ray was about to take Leo back upstairs when he suddenly saw three familiar figures– Justin, his wife Honey, and Amanda.

Interesting.

When the two women saw Ray, their faces flushed at once. Both of them lowered their heads immediately, afraid the other person beside them might notice something off.

But when Justin saw Ray, his eyes lit up, and he took the iniative to walk over.

50MilRay!he shouted loudly, making sure everyone nearby could hear.

At once, many people revealed schadenfreude filled smiles

Yeah. They might be suffering, but wasn’t Ray the unluckiest of all?

He had won 50 million dollars, yet at most, he had only been able to spend a few million. The rest of his money could only sit uselessly in the bank.

Justin really was a piece of workhe always knew just where to twist the knife.

He swaggered up to Ray with a sneer. Been feeling on edge lately? All that money and nothing to spend it on? From the look of things, this disaster isn’t going anywhere!

So you’re just here to gloat?Ray thought, shaking his head.

Was this really human nature? Even while they were suffering, as long as someone else was suffering more, it made them feel better?

He found it pathetic. It was as if his socalled wastedwealth somehow magically filled Justin’s belly.

Too bad for Justin, his current stockpile could rival a small nation’s reserves.
