Chapter 65
Honey and Amanda made their way home, nerves stretched tight the entire time.
To be honest, even before the disaster, they wouldn’t have felt this tense carrying ten thousand dollars in cash.
Back then, social order had been too good. No one would dare commit a street robbery in broad daylight.
But now? For a single bite of food or a single swallow of water, people would pounce like starving wolves.
Once they got home, both women took out the food, finally relaxing as if a heavy weight had been lifted off their shoulders.
Justin frowned and asked, “Why were you gone so long?”
Honey replied awkwardly, “There’s hardly any food now. They didn’t want to sell at first. We had to beg and negotiate before they finally agreed,”
This time, Justin was not so easy to fool.
“Who would be stupid enough now to sell their food and water?” he demanded.
Honey quickly shot Amanda a look, signaling her to help back up the lie.
But before Amanda could speak, Justin suddenly grabbed Honey and sniffed at her hair. His face changed dramatically.
“You washed your hair? Where did you wash your hair?”
It was as if he suddenly realized something. He dragged Honey toward the bedroom. Amid her sharp cries, he checked her, and his anger exploded.
“Whore! You dare cheat on me behind my back!”
He unbuckled his belt and whipped Honey with it.
Amanda rushed forward to stop him. “Justin, she did it for you! Otherwise, you would’ve starved by now!”
Those words completely sent Justin over the edge. He stared at Amanda with bloodshot eyes and snapped his belt across her too.
“Ah-!” Amanda screamed, clutching her face in pain.
After whipping them for a while, he still couldn’t vent his rage. Gritting his teeth, he snarled, “Who is that bastard? I know–it’s Ray, isn’t it? Is it Ray?!”
He suddenly remembered running into Ray in the garage earlier and mocking him smugly. Now it felt like the biggest joke in the world.
That man had slept with his wife.
No wonder Ray had leaned in and whispered something into Honey’s ear.
No wonder Honey refused to go upstairs.

She had gone out to sell herself again.
So that’s how yesterday’s instant noodles and water had been obtained.
No–there was even more.
Why had Ray transferred 500 dollars to Honey some time back?
“Bitch, I’ll deal with you when I get back!”
Justin charged into the kitchen, grabbed a cleaver, and rushed out the door.
He was obviously going to fight Ray to the death. What man could tolerate being cheated on?
Honey and Amanda, forgetting their pain, hurried after him.
But they couldn’t catch up to Justin in his blind fury. They chased and chased, until he vanished from sight.
Justin ran into the underground garage, cleaver in hand, looking like a man intent on killing someone. People along the way quickly moved aside.
“What’s going on?”
“Is he going to fight someone to the death?”
