My Reborn Apocalypse Begins with a Divorce novel Chapter 66

Chapter 66

There was not a single man in the neighborhood who hadn’t fantasized about Honey.

But where was the opportunity?

And now, Honey was actually sleeping with Ray?

Heavenswhat a lucky son of a gun!

Wasn’t this the end of the world? Wasn’t everyone’s money just worthless numbers on a screen now?

So why was Honey still letting Ray have her?

A wave of intense curiosity swept through the crowd. One by one, they trailed after Justin, though no one dared get too close, afraid Justin might snap and start swinging that cleaver wildly.

Justin stumbled into the dark corridor. His phone had long died, leaving him no source of light. Blinded by rage, he charged forward recklessly in the dark and slammed headfirst into a wall. The impact only fueled his fury, and he began cursing under his breath nonstop.

Finally, his hands found the steel door, and he started hacking at it with the cleaver.

Ray! You bastard, you slept with my wife? Get the hell out here! I’m going to chop you into pieces!

Everyone had only been speculating before. Now that he’d said it himself, it was as good as a confession. The crowd let out a collective, drawnout OoohTheir suspicions were confirmed.

Envy was thick in the air.

Of courseHoney was so alluring. How could she possibly have been some chaste, devoted wife all along?

What a shame it was Ray who got to have her. If it had been themEvery man swallowed hard, even the older ones in their fifties and sixties.

Men never really grow up.

Justin kept hacking at the door, sparks flying with each strike.

That’s when Amanda and Honey finally rushed over, panting.

Seeing the crowd gathered to watch the spectacle, Honey swayed on her feet, nearly fainting.

It was over. Her reputation was completely ruined.

More importantly, after Justin made such a scene, would Ray still be willing to trade with her?

She’d starve. Die of thirst.

What was she supposed to do now?

The steel door swung open, spilling out a beam of light and a rush of warm air.

Justin instinctively raised a hand to shield his eyes. His vision had adjusted to the darkness, and the sudden brightness sent a sharp stab of pain through them.

Ray had turned on a lighta powerful, highlumen flashlight. The intense beam was enough to seriously damage Justin’s eyes.

Already furious, Justin’s hatred burned even hotter. He tightened his grip on the cleaver and roared, Ray! You slept with my wife. How are you going to make this right?

Honey nearly fainted again from hearing him say it out loud. How could she face anyone again?!

Ray’s voice drifted out from inside. What do you want me to do?

To be honest, his arrangement with Amanda and Honey had always been a transactionmutual and voluntary. There was no making it right. But since Justin was here making demands, he might as well play along.

Justin could barely conceal his greed. Hand over this place. And you can keep the bitchI’m done with her anyway!

The fact that Honey had been able to bring back instant noodles and clean water proved Ray had even more supplies.

He was putting on a tough act, but deep down, his wife had been tainted by another man. Could he still treat her like a treasure? No. He would rather that pair of adulterers freeze, starve, and die of thirst together.

Honey’s face went deathly pale, as if she’d been punched in the gut. Shame. Rage. Heartbreak. And a crushing disappointment in the man she had loved and trusted.

She had given Justin everything. Even when his gambling had ruined them, she’d never left. She’d even sold herself to get food for him.

And thiswas her reward?

Honey’s mind went blank. Her legs gave way, and she collapsed heavily to the ground.
