Chapter 82
Ray thought for a moment. It was entirely possible.
For example, they could drive a car out. Sure, the hall would smash the windows, but they could cover them with blankets beforehand. After all, it was still inside the complex, and if they drove at a snail’s pace, they would be able to make it to the villa’s gate.
Once they got out, heads still protected by the blankets, they probably wouldn’t get hurt by the hall in such a short time.
Then, with a single swing of a sledgehammer, the courtyard gate would open immediately. A few more hits at the villa’s main door, and they could rush inside.
A solid plan indeed. That could work… If Ray’s villa hadn’t been reinforced.
But the problem was, Ray had spent 8 million just on renovations!
Even if someone brought a bulldozer, he was confident the villa would stop it, not the other way around.
They wanted to destroy the villa by manpower alone? What a joke.
He was very much looking forward to seeing their expressions when they failed to get in.
Might as well take a nap–tonight would probably be late again.
He went to sleep, but the alarm blared not long after, waking him.
Picking up his phone, he saw another visitor–this time, a woman.
Hmm, she looked familiar.
Right–she was the wife of that snarky guy.
When the disaster first started, Ray had encountered a group of people while walking Leo. They tried to buy supplies from him, and he refused. One snarky man even mocked him about Michael being illegitimate, and Ray had beaten him up.
Back then, he had deliberately told the snarky man’s wife that she could come to him if she got hungry.
And now… she actually came?
Ray shook his head. When people were starving, they really would give up every shred of dignity.
Wait a minute! He noticed another person in the corridor–Snarky Guy himself.
Not only had he hidden by the gate, but he was holding a stick.
Was he planning to attack as soon as the door opened?
Ah, so he wasn’t here to sell his wife out of hunger. He was trying to use seduction as a trap to kill him.
Brutal!
But had Snarky Guy forgotten that Ray had once beaten him black and blue? And now, he thought he could kill him with an ambush?
In an ambush, combat ability didn’t matter much. If you were caught off guard and hit by a single strike, even a fighter champion would surrender immediately.
Hehe. The main event of ght hadn’t even started yet this would be just a little appetizer.

Ray went to the basement and called through the door, “Who’s there?“.
“It’s me, Rita Carly,” the woman replied. “Didn’t you say I could come to you anytime I’m hungry?”
Ray pretended to think for a moment before saying with a smile, “I have food but you know the price you’ll have to pay, right?”
“I–I know,” Rita said nervously.
“Good.”
light and heat poured out.
Then, with a click, the door opened. Warr, signaling, ‘You go first, I’ll follow and hit him as soon as I
Rita glanced at her husband. Snarky Guy
see him.‘
She took a deep breath and stepped inside.

In truth, it was the light drawing her in, and the warmth made her almost intoxicated.
Snarky Guy crouched low, ready to follow–but to his shock, the iron door slammed shut automatically.
He reached out to pull it open, trying to stop it, but the force of the closing was far beyond what he could manage. With a loud clang, the door sealed tight.
Snarky Guy froze in disbelief.
He was still stuck outside!
