My Runaway Groom Came Back I Became His Aunt! novel Chapter 31

Chapter 7

Because of her jealousy, I had lost everything. I felt like a ghost.

“I was wrong…”

He collapsed to his knees and crawled toward me, clutching my legs.

“Summer, I swear I didn’t know. I was blinded by hatred back then.”

He cried, his whole body trembling.

For seven years, I had imagined this moment. Luca kneeling in front of me, admitting he was wrong, begging for forgiveness.

I thought I would laugh. I thought I would scream.

“Luca,” I said quietly, “do you know what these seven years meant for me?”

Smiling at drunk men during the day. Visiting my father in the hospital at night.

Sleeping in parks with my son because we couldn’t afford rent.

Eating one piece of bread a day so I could save money for Elio’s formula. Selling my blood until I fainted.

Digging through trash while being chased by stray dogs. Every bit of it happened because of the man in front

of me.

I crouched down and looked him in the eyes. “Do you really think an apology fixes everything?”

He grabbed my hand and pressed it against his tear-soaked face. “Tell me what to do. Anything. I’ll do it.”

I yanked my hand away. “First, you will make this public. Tell the world the truth and restore my father’s

reputation.”

“Second, you and Bianca will go see my father. You will tell him, face to face, how you framed him.”

He agreed immediately. “Anything. I’ll do it.”

“I’m not finished,” I said coldly. “After that, you will disappear from our lives completely.”
