My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 15

"Wonderful! Perfect! Beautiful!" Grandma Eleanor praised in rapid succession, stepping forward to grasp Seraphina's hands. "You are absolutely stunning! That boy really didn't lie to me."

Seraphina flushed, slightly embarrassed by the overwhelming compliment.

She instinctively glanced at Lucian, only to find him looking entirely unbothered, as if he had anticipated this exact reaction.

Eleanor pulled Seraphina's hand as they walked inside, chattering away. "Sera, let me tell you, if this brat ever dares to bully you, you come straight to me and I'll deal with him!"

Eleanor continued pulling Seraphina along, repeating her affectionate rambling. "Sera, I'm serious, if this punk tries to push you around, you let me know and I'll straighten him out!"

Caught off guard by the intense warmth, Seraphina didn't know how to react and just nodded eagerly.

Langford Manor was even more massive than she had imagined. Stepping through the ornate archways, she was met with an exquisite courtyard featuring cascading fountains, stone gardens, and classical pavilions.

Eleanor guided her into the grand main hall, gently forcing her to sit right beside her before ordering the maids to fetch tea and pastries.

"Here, here, have some tea first." Eleanor beamed at her. "What was your name again? Sera? That is a beautiful name."

Just as Seraphina opened her mouth to reply, Lucian sat down casually nearby and dropped a bomb. "Grandma, she's pregnant."

The air in the room instantly vanished.

Eleanor's eyes widened to the size of saucers, her gaze slowly dropping to Seraphina's completely flat stomach.

"What... what did you just say?"

"She's pregnant," Lucian repeated smoothly. "Over two months along."

*Clatter—*

Eleanor was so shocked she dropped her teacup right onto the table.

She sprang to her feet, staring at Seraphina's stomach, her voice trembling violently. "A... a baby?"

Eleanor turned back to Seraphina, her face melting back into pure affection. "Sera, sweetheart, who is in your family? I'll send someone over to formally propose immediately. We cannot take this marriage lightly..."

"Grandma," Lucian interrupted her again. "We already registered our marriage."

Eleanor froze. "You got the license? When?"

"Just now."

Eleanor fell silent for two seconds before suddenly bursting into joyous laughter. "Good! Excellent! You little rascal, you finally did something right for once!"

She looked at Seraphina, her adoration growing by the second. "This girl is gorgeous, and she has such a radiant complexion. She's definitely going to have a strong, healthy boy! Not like those manipulative gold diggers buzzing around!"

Seraphina managed a highly awkward smile.

"By the way, does your family know you're expecting?" Eleanor asked warmly.
