Retracting her gaze, Seraphina slowly walked over to the living room sofa and took a seat.
She was in no rush to leave.
Little Bean was panicking. "Mommy! Hurry up and call Dad!"
Leisurely, Seraphina pulled her phone out of her bag.
"There's no rush," she replied internally.
"Let them get to the hospital first and put on their little show."
"But once they get there, that bad doctor is going to fake the records for them!" Little Bean protested, thoroughly confused.
Scrolling down to Lucian's contact, a faint, confident smile touched her lips. "Whether the doctor they hired can actually help them or not remains to be seen."
Little Bean froze for a second before realization hit him. "Oh! Are you saying you're going to call Dad so he can intervene?"
Seraphina didn't deny it.
She tapped the dial button.
It barely rang twice before the call connected.
Lucian's deep, magnetic voice came through the speaker. "What's wrong?"
Taking a breath, Seraphina explained the situation with clear, clinical precision. "My dad invited me back to The Simmons Estate for dinner. At the table, Sienna suddenly claimed she had severe stomach pains, and Zelda immediately implied I did something to her."
"They are currently en route to The Azure Private Hospital. They've already bribed someone on the inside, and they're fully prepared to frame me for causing Sienna's miscarriage."
"Also, I noticed the size of Sienna's bump doesn't match how far along she's supposed to be. I strongly suspect she lost the baby a long time ago, and they're using this to pin the blame on me."
She laid out the pure, unvarnished facts without a hint of exaggeration.
A dead silence stretched over the line for two seconds.
When Lucian finally spoke, Seraphina could hear a terrifying, glacial edge to his tone. "The Azure Private Hospital?"
"Yes."
She heard the faint rustling of movement on his end before he asked, "Understood. Where are you right now?"
