"I'll drop you off tomorrow," Lucian offered.
Seraphina didn't refuse. "Okay."
The next morning, Little Bean woke up earlier than usual.
When Seraphina emerged fully dressed, he was being held by Susan, his eyes sparkling as he looked at her.
"Charge, Mommy! Today, you have to show them that my mommy isn't someone they can easily mess with."
Seraphina walked over and gently stroked his cheek. "Got it, my Little Strategist."
Little Bean beamed with pride. "I am the youngest strategic advisor of the Langfords."
Lucian stepped out of the elevator just in time to catch the bright smile on Seraphina's face.
He fastened his cufflinks. "You seem happy."
Seraphina smiled. "Little Bean was cheering me on."
Lucian looked at his son. "And what about me?"
Little Bean blew a tiny bubble from his lips.
"Dad's job is to accompany Mommy. Your positioning is very clear."
Seraphina couldn't hold back a laugh as she walked out the door.
Lucian watched her retreating figure and maneuvered his wheelchair to follow her.
The two of them rode together to work at The Langford Group.
The moment the car pulled into the company parking garage and stopped, Seraphina immediately got out.
"I'll head up first."
Lucian nodded. "Let's have lunch together."
Seraphina waved dismissively. "We'll see how it goes."
She strode into the building, her posture sharp and decisive.
Christian watched her step into the elevator before turning back to Lucian. "Mr. Langford, Landon is definitely going to pull some tricks. Should we step in to help Mrs. Langford?"
Lucian didn't answer immediately.
He silently watched the elevator floor numbers tick upward.
Christian stood nearby, not rushing him.
After a moment, Lucian finally spoke. "We wait until she asks. When it comes to work, it's entirely her decision."
Christian nodded. "Understood."
But in his mind, he silently added a thought.
It wasn't just about work, was it?
Mr. Langford was clearly so devoted that he was perfectly willing to wait for whenever his wife decided to open up to him.
The elevator arrived at the floor for The Innovation & Strategy Division.
