My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 552

Seraphina stared at her. "I'm only asking you—are you sure?"

Sienna gritted her teeth, shoving down her rising panic. "Of course I am."

Evie immediately jumped in. "Seraphina, you didn't have this attitude when you were raving about it a minute ago. Now that you know Sienna painted it, you're suddenly suspicious?"

Seraphina tilted her head to look at her. "Are you really planning on offering up your face for a slapping all night long?"

Evie's expression soured. "Stop changing the subject."

Sienna took a step forward, her eyes welling with fake tears. "Seraphina, I know you don't like me, but this is a charity gala. I just wanted to do my part. Why do you have to humiliate me in front of everyone?"

Sebastian Sullivan and Yolanda Harrison happened to walk through the main hall entrance at that exact moment.

Yolanda slipped her hand out of Sebastian's arm, her gaze landing on Sienna. "She knows how to paint?"

Sebastian didn't answer.

He hadn't known that, either.

Ignoring Sebastian's arrival, Seraphina kept her focus solely on Sienna. "Since you painted it, you must know where the hidden authenticity mark is."

Sienna froze. "What authenticity mark?"

Seraphina ignored the question entirely. "I'll give you ten minutes. Find it."

A sudden hush fell over the room.

Someone murmured, "A lot of young artists these days leave hidden marks on their work to prevent people from stealing credit."

Sienna's palms began to sweat.

She had thoroughly inspected the back of the canvas, the signature, the framing, and the certificate of authenticity. Everything was perfectly normal.

There was no hidden mark whatsoever.

Seraphina had to be bluffing.

Sienna bit her lip. "Seraphina, it's just a charity piece. Are you really going to force me to prove my innocence right here in front of everyone?"

Seraphina checked her watch. "You have nine minutes left."

Evie was getting anxious. "Who are you to say there's a hidden mark? You're not the artist!"

Seraphina looked up, her gaze locking onto Evie's. "Exactly. That's why I'm asking the artist to find it."

Evie was silenced, unable to come up with a retort.

Jules crossed his arms. "Flawless logic."
