Seraphina looked at Sienna. "You threw your own life in the trash, and now you're complaining about the stench?"
Jules couldn't help but clear his throat.
Yolanda almost laughed out loud, but seeing Gillian's pale face, she managed to suppress it.
Gillian handed the sealed evidence bag to Christian.
"Lucian, I'll leave the bracelet with your people for now. The items around the trash bin have already been secured."
Lucian nodded. "The ship won't dock until we get to the bottom of this tonight."
The event organizer stood to the side, his face completely drained of color.
Hearing that the ship wouldn't dock, Sienna swayed on her feet, hurriedly grabbing the display stand for support.
If the investigation truly traced back to her, she was finished tonight.
She looked up at Sebastian.
Sebastian averted his gaze.
Her heart sank, and she turned toward Landon.
Landon stood at the edge of the crowd. Catching her desperate look, he stepped back into the shadows to avoid being implicated.
Panic finally consumed Sienna.
Gillian stared at her.
"Ms. Simmons, I will ask you one more time. Is this your bracelet?"
Sienna bit her lip, tears spilling onto the hem of her gown as she shook her head.
"No."
Gillian nodded. "Fine."
She turned to her assistant. "Pull up the photos from the boarding check-in."
The assistant immediately handed over a tablet.
The screen lit up. In the photo, Sienna was holding her shawl, and that exact pink-purple crystal bracelet was clearly visible on her wrist.
Gillian turned the tablet toward her.
"Ms. Simmons, where is your bracelet now?"
Everyone's gaze shifted to Sienna's empty wrist.
The tears on Sienna's face were still wet. Her lips trembled for a long moment before she squeezed out a pathetic defense.
"I was wearing it when I boarded, but I lost it later. I have no idea why it ended up in the trash bin."
Yolanda looked at the photo, stepping forward with a frosty glare.
"A minute ago, you said you'd never seen it. Now you say you lost it. Does your memory magically refresh based on the evidence, Ms. Simmons?"
