My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 569

Seraphina dragged her exhausted body back to Lyra Bay. Hearing them arrive, Susan immediately hurried downstairs with Little Bean in her arms.

"Mr. Langford, Mrs. Langford."

"Little Bean must have a sixth sense. He woke up right as you pulled in and insisted on coming down."

Little Bean opened his eyes, reaching his tiny hands toward Seraphina with a happy babble.

"Of course I do! Mommy and I have telepathy. I know when she's close!" Little Bean lifted his chin proudly, his bright eyes darting around.

He looked at Seraphina and blew a happy bubble. "Mommy, you're finally back."

Staring at her clothes, Little Bean made a confused sound. "Mommy, why did you change your outfit? It doesn't look as nice as the one you left in."

He sniffed the air, catching the faint scent of copper.

"Mommy, are you hurt? Where are you hurt?"

Seraphina hadn't expected Little Bean's nose to be so sharp that he could smell her minor injury.

"Are you a little puppy? How did you know I was hurt?"

Seraphina leaned close to Little Bean, taking a deep breath of his sweet baby scent, feeling her tension melt away.

Holding Little Bean, Susan looked at the top of Seraphina's head, sensing that something heavy had happened.

She opened her mouth but decided against asking.

Out of the corner of her eye, Susan caught Lucian's gaze.

Lucian shook his head at her, signaling her not to bother Seraphina.

Susan nodded and stayed quiet.

"Mommy, are you okay? Mommy, what's wrong?" Little Bean communicated with her anxiously.

Seraphina replied in her mind, "Mommy's fine. I'm just tired and need you to help me recharge."

Little Bean beamed. "No problem! I just woke up and I'm full of energy. Take all the power you need from me, Mommy!"

Seraphina smiled but didn't pull away.

After a long moment, she finally stood up straight.
