"It's nothing." Sebastian didn't pull away from Sienna's touch.
Sienna merely rubbed his temples a couple of times before lowering her hand. Sensing the mood was right, she brought it up. "So... my mom wanted me to ask about... our situation. What are we going to do? My bump is starting to show."
Sienna truly had no other options left given Sebastian's current attitude.
If she didn't take the initiative, when would she ever become Mrs. Sullivan?
"I've been incredibly busy lately, especially with the patent authorization mess... Let's talk about this after things settle down, okay?"
Sienna's hand froze in mid-air, the smile on her face slipping.
She took a deep breath, forcing her voice to sound gentle and considerate. "Okay, Sebastian. Focus on your work. I'm not in a rush."
Not in a rush?
How could she not be?
Her stomach was growing day by day, and the Sullivan family had yet to give her any formal commitment.
The Sullivan family's attitude remained lukewarm at best—they hadn't agreed to the marriage, nor had they explicitly refused it.
Sienna felt like she was being roasted over an open fire, but she didn't dare push him too hard.
She knew Sebastian too well; this man responded to soft tactics, not hard ultimatums. Pushing him would only drive him further away.
The car pulled up to the airport departures level. Sebastian grabbed his suitcase and prepared to step out.
"Sebastian," Sienna called out to him, her eyes turning slightly red. "Stay safe on your trip. Text me when you land, okay?"
Sebastian glanced at her and nodded. "Yeah. Head back, let the driver take you home."
With that, he shut the door and strode into the terminal without a backward glance.
Sitting in the car, Sienna watched his retreating figure through the window, her fingers slowly gripping the fabric of her skirt.
She couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
Why wouldn't he even tell her where he was going for this business trip?
